What a legend.. I will post my full reactions to the match in a few hours... since I need to do something.
but in the mean time I cannot wait for our match with AC Milan!(goals start at 1:25)
It wasn't in Italy but Alan Smith's goal against Parma is worth remembering as well.

Quite something that all three of Wenger's substitutes were vital to our win and what a lovely assist by Arshavin to Henry. Henry of course is just a legend, even at the age of 34 he beat leads and now has put us above Abrahamovic FC in the table.
People said this would tarnish his legendary status.. but this loan spell has only cemented it further and gave us a few more special memories of him on top of the hundreds of existing ones.
Ramsey scores v Utd, Bin Laden dies Ramsey v Spurs, Steve Jobs died Ramsey v Marseille, Gaddafi died Ramsey v Sunderland, Houston dies #AFC

2 hours 'til kickoff, super excited for this game. I've always liked Milan even if they have punk b*t*hes like Zlatan, Robinho, Van Bommel, Boateng. I'm expecting us to play solid footy. I predict the outcome 2 - 0. Gunners.

Its gonna be enjoyable, honestly i think AC will win today but at the end of the day, if you get an away goal and only have a gap of 1 goal( 2-1) then i think you would be favourites to go through.

Just got in from work, was totally pumped for the game and find out he's dropped Chamberlain for fucking Rosicky (with Ramsey in the middle). I don't care if he has his reasons, that's a joke. He made his first decent substitutions in years on the weekend that won us the game but it seems that was only a moment of lucidity in an otherwise comatosed tactical mind. Pissed me off, Rosicky or Ramsey better not have a shit game or I'll be fuming all night at the french bastard. Chamberlain deserved to start
Anyway I'm going for 1-1

Going for a 1-1 myself. Wish I was as optimistic as The Boy From School

Tie over. Shame it had to end that way for Henry.

A properly shameful performance. Really, really bad. awful. Pathetic. Worst we have played since the 8-2, only this time there's no excuse of fielding a reserve team.
Milan aren't great shakes, they're good but that's about it. We gifted them 4 goals tonight through our own ineptitude and that is embarrassing.

Zlatan actually turned up tonight. Your defence is a joke to be honest, even with Vermalen, I'm not sure what Wenger can do to be honest.
(This isn't me on a wind up, just so you know, just incase it came across that way.)Last edited by yourmumsface17; 02-15-2012 at 22:08.

Yup. I'd echo your sentiments
He turned up, that's for sure. Our defence usually isn't THIS bad, it was a mixture of underestimating Milan and the usual Wenger tactics of...no tactics.
As bad as we played, the 2nd goal was offside and the third goal was just pure bad luck. Horrid
We're fucked if Koscielny is out for a prolonged period of time

your medical staff should be fired. seriously lol. can't keep the players fit enough to stay healthy. and when they get injured they aren't rehabilitating them properly. is Wilshere ever going to play again? lol. and it's just a matter of time before RVP just falls to pieces.

i am beginning to think wenger should be fired. i am a big supporter but even i cant deny that either his tactics do not work or his motivation does not work. probably both, either way, its not working.

I think the problem is that 90% of your medical team is forced to make sure Persie is not injured, resulting in many other players getting injured.

Why on earth would we get rid of Wenger .. you have been supporting the club for a few months now right, he is not a man you sack without class... we aren't Chelsea. If he ever does go he will resign himself. As Emmanuel Petit says sacking Wenger would be the worst thing, we have the same board which will never change even if we change managers and a very loyal manager who is passionate about our club.
Wenger liked Phil Jones, Smalling, Gotze, Mata, etc.. and now he always talks about Hazard the list goes on yet our board has never given the money to snatch players like when Dein is here when we bought Bergkamp when Bruce Rioch was here. We are not getting quality signings like before.
Say Thierry Henry was in the market today as he was in 1999.. would we have gotten him with our current board who is very incompetent all over? Highly doubt it.

The performance against sunderland was about more than our apathetic board. Our team is uninspired and its a job of a manager to motivate them. on top of that, our tactics look dull. a lot of horizontal passing without any bite to them. in that entire game, i barely remember any real goal scoring threats, aside from maybe a few at the end. but nothing that really ever came close. Defense was just as bad that game. Worse than the quality we have i believe. When a team is playing below their potential, so far below, thats a sign of problems with the manager usually. Again, I like wenger but he is not untouchable and anyone who thinks so just blind, granted I know wenger will not abuse his solidified status at the club.
But my biggest worry is not only the results. Its the games we are playing. I see no signs of improvement from game to game. I dont want 70% possession with 4 shots. I dont see any changes made in our game at all. Arsenal won me over becayse they played the most attractive football in england but now they've digressed to playing very boring and uninspiring football. At the start of every Arsenal game i am full of enthusiasm and excitement, i really am. but within 10 minutes their predictable and dull game just sucks the life out of me. When sunderland scored their two goals, I barely flinched because I was rather expecting it based on how the game was going.
I agree the board is crap and I hate them all. I really do. But realistically, there isnt going to be much change there. I can't figure out why Dein gave Kroenke so much support. isnt that one of the major reasons why he left? because they were efforts made to outst him largely over his support for stan? And of the players you named, Mata didnt join us because of a weak front office (though it didnt help), He said he didnt want to join Arsenal because he didnt see them as lead contenders who had the ambition and drive to make it as real winners. He saw more of that in Chelsea and chose them over us. (im sure the higher wages didnt hurt either).
And I admit, I have not been an Arsenal supporter for as long as many of you, but I am not new to football and I feel I understand the game pretty well. Honestly, how do you believe that things are looking up when Arsenal havent shown any signs of progress in their performances. Sure we get a big game once in a while but we have far more underachieving performances. I just want to see some progress to give me hope that things are at least moving in the right direction and we know what we are doing. so far, I am not seeing it and thats what worries me the most.
ALSO:
Good on Frimpong, I can't stand listening to that tosser mouth out into his megaphone after every game.

I didn't mean it as a bad thing just that you would know by now kind of thing. Also you have it backwards, Dein supported Usmanov and even joined Red & White Holdings.. he left so that Usmanov and the board could have better relations which of course hasn't worked.
Is Usmanov good? Who knows, Dein is behind him but he can't be worse than Kroneke and how much the current board is incompetent.

van Persie has his own full time personal trainer/fitness specialist because our medical team is so incompetent. He has been completely fit for nearly a year now so it's quite a damning verdict on our staff
Well I have supported the club my entire life and I think Wenger has to go. He has had time, a lot of time, and things have just gotten worse. I know a lot of gooners twice my age and older who saw some real crap through the 70's and the vast majority also think AW's time is up. It's not the fact that we are failing, it's that we are failing in such a pathetic manner that leaves a horrible taste in people's mouth. You can't criticise a club if they really go for it, put all their resources into trying and come up short - they did their best. We on the other hand have been doing the bare minimum, accepting mediocrity whilst leaving mountains of cash sitting in the bank and that is inexcusable.
Petit is trying to have his cake and eat it, what a hypocrite he is, I can't stand people who don't have 2 brain cells to string together running their mouth off in the press. On the one hand he criticises everything about the current state of affairs and on the other he says "oh no it's not Wenger fault, you have to keep Wenger!". What utter rubbish. But I don't expect anything else from the french. He also slated a bunch of our british players (not without good reason) but he has never and will never say a word against one of our many french failures for the same reason he won't speak against Wenger. That also goes for cretins like Philipe Auclaire. They are all obnoxious hypocrites
The only person who has spoken out recently who's opinion matters is Bergkamp's.
