Arsenal NEED to keep RVP. Best striker in the league this season imo, would love him at united. Great result for you guys today, was very happy to see it![]()

The team played like chit throughout but 3 points are 3 points. We're closing in on Tottenham.

@ Diaby.

He's a true Gunner and only has the future of the club and his role models like Dennis Bergkamp/Marco Van Basten (who also said to stay at Arsenal when we were losing earlier in the season) in mind.
The only 1% chance of him leaving is if we don't make the champions league in a catastrophic manner.

If only Bergkamp would be willing to become Assistant manager, shouldn't be too hard to travel by train.

Great result, 4 in a row now. Was nerve wrecking how bad we were playing but we pulled it off. Loving those balls by Song lol. Daym...
I hope Utd spank the scum tomorrow, that would be sweeeeeeeet!
We already approached him about his contract last summer or around that time. But, with Nasri and Cesc leaving he decided to see what happens at the end of this season with the team, so clearly CL football for next season + signings in the summer would pretty much tie him up. Better pay would help, too.
Watching him play, and his general aura in the team and with team mates, it's clear that he wants to stay here 'till the end of his career, like DB10. He just wants a better team to play in
It's mostly down to the board and manager to keep him, he wants to stay

Alan Davies is right, just somehow offload squillachi and almunia and give RVP their inflated salaries.

Btw isn't Sturridge an Arsenal fan and wasn't he reported to be coming to us in the Summer? It certainly seems like he's trying to help us looking at all his missed chances.

I watched the Henderson arteta replay again and arteta was jogging in his lane, looking at the ball and henderson flies in from his blind side and hits him in the head. I dont know how that is an accident. Firefox, im sure you've seen enough of these plays in the NHL and know how dangerous they can be. Thoughts of crosby worry me about arteta.
The good news is he was able to leave the hospital fairly early and ride home so heres hoping its not going to affect him too much.you game? http://www.ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=55990

Yes I hope he will be alright. Maybe it's the Arsenal fan in me but I was stunned at how casually everyone (ref, commentators) blew the situation over, and how Henderson was excused so..easily. He just straight up ran into Mikel and fucked him up
Just hope hope hope he's okay, he adds a lot to our game

From Reddit:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comm...n/perspective/Food for thought.
Back in August Lee Dixon said we’d be lucky to make the top 8 with our current squad.
Wenger has not just lost Cesc and Nasri, but Wilshire too.
Liverpool have a net transfer spend of 38.6 mil in 2011/12 season Chelsea have a net transfer spend of 62.7 mil in 2011/12 season Arsenal have a net transfer profit 14.7 mil in 2011/12 season
Just over a year ago our biggest transfer “need” was to buy a goalkeeper.
Many feared we might not even get past Udinese to make the group stage of the CL this year, let alone top our group.
The current season is far from over, however there are reasons for controlled optimism.
We have money to spend (50mil in the bank) and the board might finally be ready to spend money on players, AND pay them a competitive wage (let’s not forget Mata had all but agreed to play for us until he got better personal terms from Chelsea).
RVP will likely stay as they’ll break the bank to keep him.
Wilshire will return.
The OX is improving and will play a much bigger role next season.
We’ve spent less than Chelsea & Liverpool - who are both below us.
We’ve lost key players - yet our league performance could easily see us improve on our final position last year.
This isn’t reactionary in light of a few good results, it’s a measured view on where we are now and where we could be next season.
I’d rather be a Gooner than a Chelsea or Liverpool fan.
The media keeps talking about Arsenal and it’s many problems, but things aren’t all that bad.
As Gooners we really can be optimistic about the future.
In Wenger we trust.

Wenger retires I actually want AVB at this club.. I've wanted him here before the press here started knowing about him. Sure he has roots with Chelsea from back in the day when Mourinho was there but all those roots are gone now and probably transformed into hatred.
AVB at Arsenal in 2014 or will Wenger stay longer and never retire? We'll see. Either way I will be happy and above all else hope that Wenger stays. But Wenger deserves to retire in 2014 and have a more higher up job at this club for all he has done.

I got three things to post.
1) Great read.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...ne-Wenger.html
__________________________________________________ ____________________Wenger: We can make greatest escape with four strikers
Arsčne Wenger is planning to start with four strikers and a modified formation against AC Milan on Tuesday as Arsenal go in search of the greatest comeback in Champions League history.

Positive approach: Theo Walcott, who scored twice against Spurs, chats to Robin van Persie in training Photo: GETTY IMAGES
No team in European club competition have ever overturned a 4-0 first-leg deficit like the one that faces Arsenal, but Wenger spoke on Monday of a genuine “gut feeling” that his players can deliver what he admits would be the most amazing result of his career.
A combination of an injury crisis in central midfield and the situation in the tie means that Wenger will select a particularly attacking team. And he will urge his players to draw on the experience of their 5-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur only nine days ago, when Arsenal recovered from 2-0 down and scored five goals in 25 minutes.
“Basically, I have only two midfielders fit, that is Alex Song and Tomas Rosicky, which means we have to play with four strikers,” said Wenger. “I can play six strikers if I want. I have enough strikers. I can take a risk because I have no choice.
“Even if they should score, we have to ignore it and continue going. We have to gamble a bit and go forwards, opening ourselves up a bit.
"I have a gut feeling they can do it and my job until kick-off is to convince them they can do it. In the last two home games against Tottenham and Blackburn we scored 12. There is a real possibility.”
2) A great look at Szczesny's life/family and career so far. A good look at famiy towards the end.

3) One of the best Thierry Henry videos on the internet. A look at this entire career... watch the first 5 minutes at least.
