Well, that's really a must-havegame for xbox360owners, I'm gonna buy it for pc.

-
01-22-2006 #3Good idea. I for one am too cheap to buy it at new price so I shall wait until the PC version drops down to about $20.

Yes i'm going to "buy" it for my PC also.
It wouln't look as good as the 360 version but i can play some pretty good textures, so w/e."It's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace.

Its because its a scan from the magazine, ruines the quality. I always notice that the game looks 10x better when playing it then the pictures show.

See now, I'm always told I spend too much time on the computer, so most likely I will end up buying a 360 for this (and a few more) game.

01-22-2006 #9Lol, I'm just not going to buy an xbox360 just to play this game

This may sound strange but it looks ugly to me. I think it is because of the magazine scans so I'm pretty sure it will look better when it is in motion
Resistance 2, KillZone 2, WarDevil, MGS4, God Of War 3, Final Fantasu XIII, White Knight Chronicles, Gran Turismo 5, and a alot more, how can 2008 not be the PS3's year.

When I get a xbox360, this will be the first game that I will get along with Halo 3. I not planning to get a xbox360 anytime soon.

i'm getting 360 too, after alot of price drops (maybe there will be one when ps3 is released?) and buy 4 games, bf2:mc-oblivition-test drive unlimited-halo3
oblivition is a huge goldmine for microsoft and since 360 developing is familiar to pc developing (or so i heard) we can probably expect more games of this type for 360

IMHO, Gothic 3 will eat this game for breakfast...in all terms

Well imo the graphics of oblivion look better than gothic and the AI of the NPC's looks very promising, but I still have to see what Gothic has to offer.

[LIVE]Atari announces The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on
Title: Atari announces The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for PS3
Atari today announced that first person shooter The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is joining its 2009 publishing and distribution line up. Coming to next generation consoles for the first time, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena promisses to deliver a thrilling new adventure experience for fans, and will be released on the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
Previously announced as a remake of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay with added content, Atari revealed today that The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena contains a brand new full-length campaign. This new project promises a title which will include the original game re-imagined for a whole new audience, an entirely new chapter in the Riddick saga and, for the first time, online multiplayer support.
“It’s very exciting to have Assault on Dark Athena as part of Atari’s 2009 publishing line-up,” said Phil Harrison, President of Infogrames Entertainment, the parent company of Atari. “The first game in the series was a landmark in action gaming and the outstanding team at Starbreeze are creating a feature-packed follow-up which will delight fans and new players alike.”
“The Riddick IP offers a rich universe from which to develop no-holds barred games, and we’ve believed that since the days of the Pitch Black film,” said Bill Kispert, Vice President and General Manager, Interactive, Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group. “Assault on Dark Athena extends the franchise fiction; adds to the mythology with new storylines, characters and locations while remaining true to the original material; and gives fans an experience they haven’t seen before. As we introduce this new Riddick chapter, we are also excited to welcome Atari to the Riddick family.”
“We’re thrilled about this remake and expansion of Escape from Butcher Bay." said Ian Stevens, Head of Game Production, Tigon Studios. "Assault on Dark Athena tells a new story in The Chronicles of Riddick, while at the same time sharing our original vision with a larger audience. We’re excited about the coming months and talking more in-depth about new features like the addition of Multiplayer!”
“Working with the Riddick franchise for us is an extraordinary experience,” said Johan Kristiansson, CEO, Starbreeze Studios. “We are deeply enthusiastic about the partnership with Atari that will bring this rich game experience to a new generation of consoles. With this release we've pushed the limits of the Starbreeze engine, delivering an extensive game package designed to thrill gamers worldwide. We can't wait for it to hit the shelves.”
In The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena the player takes the role of Riddick, as played by Vin Diesel, using stealth and action to overcome the merciless crew of the predatory Merc-ship Dark Athena which awaits its prey in the dark reaches of space. Cheating death through a series of spectacular battles and events, Riddick will fight for his life amid a storm of malevolence and horror. The Chronicles of Riddick series of games takes the player deeper into the universe of Universal Pictures' films The Chronicles of Riddick and cult classic Pitch Black, which first introduced Vin Diesel as enigmatic anti-hero Riddick.
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is planned for a launch in spring 2009.
