There are two separate downloads for the game, as Sega said there would be; there's a 1GB limit on the Japanese PS Store.

the first demo is the main scenario one, which will give you a taste of the story and battles
the second demo is mini games and stuff

The full name is Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan aka Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 aka Yakuza 3. It's the third game in the Ryu Ga Gotoku series (which is called Yakuza outside Japan), though it doesn't take place after the two "prequels" but actually, takes place hundreds and hundreds of years BEFORE the two earlier games.

i just created a japanese psn account but I cant find the demo anywhere and I also cant find resident evil 2 on the psn didnt they just put that up on the japanese psn?

dont bother downloading these demos ive been trying too play them for over a hour the main game is just plain text rpg so if you dont understand japanese theres no way of playing it.also the graphics and sound are terrible they dont look as good as shemue on the xbox !!

the second game has you riding a horse whilst shoooting your bow and arrow at targets which is also terrible.maybe the **** will like this but i dont think this game will come out in the west its very very bad.

only good thing about it is that it downloads very quickly i got both demos nearly 2gb for both in just over a hour !!!

From what you say it sounds terrible, but my gut tells me that it's the language barrier that's the true frustration here. Is there anyone here who can read Kanji that has played through the demos? If so, what are your impressions? I'm downloading them now.

The game is horrible IMO.
The animations look REALLY bad, you do nothing in the game besides running around talking to people, and when you eventually get into a fight it's so bad it's kind of fun.
Really this game seems so far from release that they should be ashamed if the final product is even remotely similar to this.

awesome game, completed the first demo even though i had to skip all the text and stuff, the game is simmilar to the other yakuza games and thats good.

also to thoose of you who complain about little moves etc, try the other yakuza games then, you learn moves as you progress, in the demo you learn moves from a bird, a cat and also from other people, thats the whole point of the games and its fun.

loved how it looked, the amount of strolling people is still incredible (it was on ps2 aswell).

the irony is that you probably never will play it just like most others and then in about 3-5 years time you will finally see it again and then play it and scream its the best game ever... look what happened to Yakuza 1 , ignored by the world and now all of a sudden its selling pretty "ok" compared to what it did in the first place.

And btw, last time i checked, Yakuza never was about hard core ninja gaiden style action, its an adventure free roaming arcade action game, in other words..pretty much nothing like it out there.

Also , if you have ever played Shenmue 1 and 2 then you should know by now that Yakuza is in the same vein although not that simmilar but all over the place you will find simmilarities and even same graphics style.

and yes, this is probably where you go... ahaaahhaha shenmue? , never heard of it.....

i had shenmue 1 on dreamcast, the least they could have done was translate everything into english, took a hudred years to find some old mans home because all the houses were labelled in japanese..

the reason i dont like to play these kind of games is because they do get me hooked. and i dont like that, it happened to me with final fantasy 7, and its not hooked from excitement, because if you get excited by roaming around for hours, then..... **** man.. dont know what to say..
my preference is 2 player games, because its fun.. 1 player games i like aswel, but rpgs, walking around for hours isnt fun.. and it pisses me off.. but i bloody get hooked on that **** for some reason because you get into the story.. but it takes too bloody long!!!!! and that is why i will never play yakuza!! if i did my girlfriend would leave me, i'd lose contact with all my friends, id turn pale like my white underwear, id get fired from my job, id stop eating I JUST WONT DO IT MAAAN!!!
