All you do is connect automaticly like normal. Then goto networking > connection list.
It will show you all the info you need, your dns, gateway, ip address. So once you got that written down. Goto your router settings, put in the IP you wrote down as the DMZ.
Then go back to network settings, and set up your connection manually with all the same numbers you wrote down. k

If you go to your router maker's website you should find a tutorial or walkthrough.

There's nothing wrong with Belkin's stuff. Okay, try this -
You're Belkin router is likely to have 192.168.2.1 as it's default IP. If so, go to your PS3 network settings and choose Custom. Enter these settings:
IP: 192.168.2.3 (the DMZ address you will enter later)
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Default 192.168.2.1 (same as your router)
For primary and secondary address it depends on your provider, but I'm also with Virgin so try these:
Pr: 62.31.64.39
Se: 62.31.112.39
OR
Before you change anything, go to your Network settings and check what the primary and secondary numbers are when on Automatic. Write them down and use them in Custom.
When you've done that, go to your router settings page, (192.168.2.1 in your browser), and set your new DMZ IP as 192.168.2.3, same as your new PS3 IP address. With any luck you should now have a DMZ on your PS3. Hope that helps - it can be confusing, but that should sort you out with any luck.______

When entering the PS3 as the DMZ on your wireless router, you need to be careful. You can go to the PS3 and look at what the current IP Address is, and use that one, but that may not work all the time. The reason is that the IP Address is assigned to the PS3 by the router's dhcp server. If the router decides not to give that IP Address to the PS3 next time you boot your PS3 (maybe because a laptop got that IP address first), then the PS3 will no longer be the machine in the DMZ. If possible, you need to be able to specify that the router ALWAYS gives this IP address to the PS3 (ex: based on the MAC address). If that isn't possible, then you might be able to specify a static IP address for the PS3, then remove that from the DHCP IP Address range on the router. For example: Statically specify that the PS3 has 192.168.2.200, then on the wireless router, specify that DHCP can give out IP Addresses up to 192.168.2.199. Then put 192.168.2.200 as the DMZ.
Be aware than most people may not see this issue. The router may cache the IP Address to the MAC address and sort of reserve it for the same machine each time. Also, if you only have the PS3 connected to the router, then you will probably always get the same IP Address as well.

No offence, but if the OP understood all that he wouldn't need our advice on setting up a DMZ!

You're right of course - in my situation, (which is very close to the OP's: same ISP, same make of router at least), the PC gets the 192.168.2.2 IP, the PS3 the 2.3. Sure, if I connect a laptop at the same time then it can cause a problem, but I never do that anyway. You could always make the DMZ/PS3's IP 192.168.2.10, (or higher), in which case there shouldn't be any kind of problem with other systems.______
