the pronunciation of the words is stupidly easy
i bet your pronunciation is very accurate and 'japanese' sounding with the amount of anime you watch, ne?
you can get pimsleur Japanese audio lessons (its like 90 lessons, half an hour long each) which is all audio, with native speakers, it costs like hundredsss of dollars but we all know there's ways around paying *nudge nudge* lol

I always find it hilarious that nine out of ten times somebody is asking for language help, it's about Japanese.

Seriously, I hate to say it, but among this forum, that is not a stereotype, it is a reality.
Don't get me wrong, I took Japanese in high school for a couple years, but come on, lol.. At least tell me you're not doing it so you can watch/understand anime better, because that is the lamest reason in the book. And, as you know, I like anime, so this isn't an insult to that either, I just find people who learn it for that sole purpose to in general be.. well.. I can't say it here..

what? thats a stupid mentality lol
people who like anime generally like japanese culture, those things often go hand in hand
i dont see whats wrong with that
furthermore i dont see whats wrong with wanting to learn the language, and there certaintly doesnt have to be a 'legitimate' reason to do so.

Then you missed the last line. The people tend to be assholes in my past experiences, I'm not saying he is.
I said people who learn it for that reason, not people who just happen to like anime and Japanese. (I just said I am one of them.)
They assume because I like anime and that they are learning Japanese for this purpose, that I must know it or learn it also. I'm talking about the extremists who say things like "if you aren't watching it in the original dub, it sucks/isn't really anime" they just have been arses in my experience, that's all.
