out:
Kuyt, Maxi, Aurelio ( possibly Agger and bellamy)
In:
Borini ( said to be an exciting signing...) With it being likely we will get Allen...for 15 mil. Why the hell do we get CM when we are pretty much crying out for out wide players?
Thing is, Lucas, hendo, shelvey, Gerrard and Spearing can do that job well enough without Allen in the picture than we can do without a proper out wide player but with Allen in the team.
So far, quite bad. I just hope Rodgers can get the team to play better together, plus the Suarez extended deal is nice.
Maybe Sterling will become a bigger part of the team?

Lucas' injury last season showed that the others can't do well enough and that Spearing, for all his tenacity and hard work, is not good enough. Allen is a huge improvement on our DM options, which at the moment consist only of Lucas and Spearing. I'd expect him to partner Lucas with Gerrard moving forward, and to adequately fill in for Lucas if needed.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Spearing moved on.
DM: Lucas Allen Spearing
Box-to-box: Allen Henderson Shelvey
AM: Gerrard Shelvey Adam
Rumors from a while back that Adam would be used as a makeweight in a deal for Dempsey, which I'd be all for, would give Suso more chances.
To respond to the other thing, Sterling will DEFINITELY play a lot of matches this season.
Currently our wingers/wide forwards are Downing, Sterling, Cole (why is he still here?), with Suarez and Borini both capable of playing the wide positions in a 4-3-3.Last edited by Shibby; 08-09-2012 at 02:08.

Girl on twitter yesterday (with pictures to prove it) met the players at Melwood, asked Danny "Are you leaving?", to which he relied "Never."
Personally, I think we're just dicking around with City until he signs a new contract.
That gif's pretty old. Saw it not long after Fifa 12 released.Last edited by Shibby; 08-09-2012 at 09:02.

Stewart Downing hopefully scores.

Great half. Of course it's only Gomel, but after how shit we were in the first leg, it's encouraging. Not to mention how notoriously shit we are against the "lesser" teams.

Very very good game, if we can stay consistent and play like that, we have a very good shout for the title!!
Suarez again proving why he is world class, so glad he extended his contract, glad to see him, Borini and Gerrard click and play very well, Lucas too was very good as well as Shelvey.
Heck Downing had a good game! All in all very good, gives me confidence and Allen is a pretty much done deal haha. Hope we carry on playing like this!

Rodgers confirms Joe Allen fee agreement.
Allen confirms on twitter that he's signed a long term deal, medical tomorrow.
Rumors Walcott would drop his wage demands to join LFC. Also that Adam Johnson is certainly available. Would be one or the other. If the fees aren't too far apart, I think I'd prefer Theo. But would take either.

Yea i really shouldn't get a head of my self haha.
Nice to see Walcott is interested in joining though( even though rumours, but if true i mean)
Could do good under this system, as well as Johnson.

They're saying Gaston Ramirez fee agreed, medical tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it.
EDIT: bullshit apparently. we've signed him about 5 times this summer already.
EDIT2: however, other rumors saying Dempsey bid accepted.Last edited by Shibby; 08-13-2012 at 01:08.

He also says in an article that Xabi's been convincing Sahin to come here.

The key bit:Liverpool FC confident of signing Barcelona's Cristian Tello and Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin on loan
LIVERPOOL FC are hopeful of clinching the signings of Nuri Sahin and Cristian Tello this week as Brendan Rodgers’ summer rebuild at Anfield gathers pace.
The duo would move to Merseyside on season-long loan deals, with Rodgers confident the signings can be clinched before the Reds open their Premier League campaign at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Liverpool believe they have fended off interest from both Tottenham and Arsenal to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sahin.
The Turkish international has been told he is free to leave the club by Real boss Jose Mourinho and, having spoken to ex-Reds star Xabi Alonso, has informed Rodgers of his desire to move to Merseyside.
Liverpool aim to complete the formalities over the next 48 hours, and could introduce the 23-year-old to his new teammates this weekend.
The deal for Barcelona winger Tello should also go through shortly, with managing director Ian Ayre having flown to Spain to finalise negotiations.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season at Camp Nou last season, making 22 appearances under Pep Guardiola, and scoring seven times.
But with Guardiola having left, Tello has been informed by new Barca boss Tito Vilanova that first-team opportunities will be limited this season.
He was officially listed as a ‘B’ team player when the Catalans announced their squad for the upcoming campaign.
With Adam potentially leaving in a deal for Dempsey, our midfield options could look like this by the end of the week:The Turkish international ... has informed Rodgers of his desire to move to Merseyside.
Lucas Leiva
Steven Gerrard
Nuri Sahin
Joe Allen
Jordan Henderson
Jonjo Shelvey
Jay Spearing
Not bad if I say so myself.

Not effective.. you are wasting Sahin's talents by putting him there. You might as well not get him.

Probably not but seeing as I'm not Brendan rodgers it doesn't really matter lol.
It was mainly the starting 11 I was putting out there.
I know he's more of an attacking midfielder maybe in front of gerrard where borini and allen sit and throw Downing on the right or Walcott if he comes (doubt it highly)

More a box to box midfielder.. I am still hoping that Sahin comes to Arsenal, I've been wanting him to come for many years.

Sorry but i am completely bewildered by that formation lol. Not a chance Allen has a more advanced role than Gerrard. I expect him to play slightly ahead of Lucas. Same for Sahin. The only way I see us playing 4 central mids at the same time is if Gerrard plays as a false 9, and Rodgers did say he was interested in trying Spain's false 9 formation.

As I said, it was mainly for the starting 11 remove the tampon.
