I'm sure it'll stay that way, just as I'm sure you'll stay up there

Seriously though, Lucas Gerrard Sahin Allen Henderson and Shelvey is a $#@!ing outstanding midfield with great quality of depth. Spearing and Adam will likely both be sold. Bolton are interested in Jay for 2m apparently we're holding out for 3.

John you may even get Charlie off of us haha.

Wish I could say the same.

Well there were rumors of your interest. Probably just that though. He should be interested though, after all you're title contenders and we're relegation fodder

5m seems to be the figure that's being thrown around, 2m was apparently what Arsenal offered. No buy out option too? that's gonna be heart breaking at the end of the season if he tears it up in the league, which he most likely will.

Best forced smile ever xD. I can see you lot still getting him without a buyout clause though, cos RM midfield will still be packed with players ahead of him in the pecking order when he returns. If he enjoys his time at Anfield (and you lot finish in the top4), he'll force a move I reckon

Sahin, Kagawa, Mata, etc. Some of my favourite players from other leagues all going to rival teams . Wake up Arsene !

$#@!. Gifted them 2 goals, one literally. Should have won it, but would have taken a point before the match.

Hope Lucas is okay, but Sahin should slot straight in there alongside Allen. And what a game from Allen.

First full match for Sterling, and while he showed his age, he also showed tons of potential.

At least we're not bottom anymore

I thought Shelvey had a better game than Allen.

Shelvey had the more noticeable game. But yes he also played well. Allen does the quiet work. Breaking up the play and having almost 100% pass completion.

Gutted for the two goals that were scored by MC... I thought Liverpool played 60% of their abilities today. Definitely need a lot more offensive support and movement in the attacking third.

Agree. I like Borini but I don't think he's ready yet to be that every match guy.

Should Dempsey come, he'll fit right in.

We're interested in Sturridge from Chelsea too. Another player that Brendan's worked with.

I really hope a lot that Dempsey comes to Liverpool. Again, let's get some action forward. I can't think of how long the game was at a stand still for supporting the attacking efforts. How many times did we have more than 2 or three guys in and around the box, other than corner kicks? You see how Man City came in with 15 players in the box on their attack... sheesh.

I'm thinking Assaidi will get his debut on Thursday. Can't wait to see what he has to offer. Sahin may get his debut as well, would probably come on off the bench if at all though.

Also wouldn't be surprised to see Suarez and Gerrard rested again.

    Reina
    Flanagan Coates Agger Enrique
    Allen
    Shelvey Henderson
    Downing Borini Assaidi

Don't really want to get into the Arsenal match yet, as I think it's very premature. Expecting a very busy week and possibly deadline day if we don't finalize deals beforehand. Dempsey could be coming in, and if Andy leaves we'd bring in another striker (Sturridge would be ideal IMO, left footed wide forward to play on the right whose name isn't Downing)

There was too many positives in that game to cry about it. If we can play like that against the lesser teams in the league as well as the big teams minus the silly mistakes, we've got a decent chance of top 4.

I think we played fantastic. Allen and Sterling were superb.

I'd watch all the possession and attacking again then. It was almost horrible in regards to the attacking support.

We just need someone to put the ball in the back of the net and get us 20+ a season. Maybe dempsey is that person.

He's more than likely, not coming to Liverpool. He has a medical either this week or next with Sunderland.

Sunderland? Yikes, if that's true then that's not exactly a step forward in his career if I'm being honest

Nuri also had about 10 medicals with Arsenal before coming here .

Also, not possible for him to have one next week, transfer deadline day is Friday.

    UPDATE:

The Dempsey to Sunderland thing seems to have originated from Moose at talksport. Which means we can safely say it's not even close to true. Every single bit of info I've seen come from him has been dead wrong this summer. I don't remember them all, but according to him we were 100% getting Jurgen Klopp.

Very unfair result imo, 2 goals gifted to them ( the free kick was the referee mistake, not LFC)

Very entertaining, for a team that was, on average, so young yet still played so well and should have won is very nice to see.

I just hope we can do the same against the lesser teams, as that is the problem!!

Borini's run was awesome but really should have finished that chance! Rodgers should try him in the middle, would be much more effective.

Allen is a very good signing, very useful for years to come!

Suarez's freekick.... amazing, so perfect it was scary.

Well, it wasn't unfair, unless you mean the average, at best, performance by Liverpool. I don't ever judge a game by the performance of a referee. There are times they are for or against each and every team. I rely on the performances of each player, and then as a team. It was an entertaining game though. I was on edge every time Man C was on the attack. Sheesh, it seems like all their players on the field, the coach, and some subs were all attacking at the same time lol. How they didn't score more goals is a great result defensively for a lot of it.
