Expect things to pick up once Lucas comes back. Apart from Suarez, he's the most important part of the team. Allen's been exposed in that role the past few games.

i think we need to concern ourselves with the contract issue surrounding Raheem Sterling and the fact that Man City, Chelsea and Man U are circling like vultures... I expect his agent has been spoken to by someone, advising him to hold out till the contract expires... Mercs, don`t you just hate them? I don't think he'll want to go sit on the bench elsewhere when he can play weekly here. He tweeted a while ago that they were waiting til he turned 18, but shortly thereafter deleted it presumably under advisement from either his agent or the club.

I'm not worried about it.

In other news, Lucas will be in the squad tomorrow.

i think i`d prefer to wait for Lucas, love him, to err on the side of caution. As much as i want to see him back in the side, risking that knee this side of christmas could be foolish. Our future captain needs to be 100% sure that he has recovered and fully match fit. Shelvey has done well and provides adequate cover. What we need is to start shooting on sight, not trying to construct the perfect passing goal.

It's not a risk to his knee. His more recent injury was a thigh muscle, which gave his knee a few extra months to heal.

He's also been in full training for a few weeks now, and played 60 minutes in a reserves match last week.

WH played well and a draw might have been fair ( 1 OG and 1, IMO, unfair penalty, so a win is not that bad) but we kept at it and won!!

I thought the pen call was a bad call too. It is what it is, and Liverpool came from behind and got the W.

Lots of sources suggest that Sturridge in January is pretty much a done deal. For something like 10-12m.

I'm happy with that if true. I think with a coach who shows some faith in him, and a run of games, he can be a great player. The talent is certainly there.

8-10 would probably be a more fair price point. Anything under 10 I'd gladly have him for.

My only problem with him is that he is quite ball greedy ( not entirely bad, if you can take your chances, which he is not that consistent at doing)

Ba has a release clause of 7~m or something, I remember reading. A bit of a bargain, wouldn't mind him at Arsenal
