What I find weird is how that box art shows Metal Gear Solid as a Ps2 game, beside MGS2 and 3..

I'd get it, but then again, I'd never play it :P I'll just keep my 30 quid n just buy MGS4 (That includes MGOnline free..)

i'll most likely pick it up. I havent had the full MGS 1-3 experience. And the idea of a box set is nice. I mean i bought the DMC Box set 1-3

I think MGS4 only comes with the online start pack....bummer
And yes - strange that it is listed as PS2.....it can't be some redone version, can it?

I am jumpin all over this thing, MGS is one of the better game series out there....and I would venture to say that those three games are probably better than some of the ****ty ass games some kids are playing these days - by that I mean "next" gen games...

I've got them all seperately but i got MGS2 and 3 for very cheap and the cases are in...well sh*t condition to be honest, but the games work. So i would probably buy this once it gets released in the UK. My copy of MGS1 is fine and danday pre platinum version, so i don't need that. But i'd still buy it.

I am so buying this. I've never playe3d MGS2 (have been trying to find Substance) and it's been years since I've touched MGS1. In fact I never actually beat MGS1, I just watched my friend beat it.

Hopefully the MGS1 on there is a port of the Twin Snakes, version from the Gamecube.

If y'all look thoroughly, you will notice MGS1's image only says Playstation... And the other 2 say Playstation2...

The greatest thing is that Amazon has the release date for March, 18... MY BIRTHDAY!

I lost my MGS1 and had to leave 2 and 3 behind when I joined the Navy... So im getting this no-doubt....

Yeah I did see that, when I first glanced at it I didn't really notice that.
This is definitely a great buy - 10 dollars for each game is definitely worth it.
I just wish us PS owners got a remake of MGS1-I believe the GameCube got the twin snakes and I was always jealous that they had such a great looking MGS1 game. If that were the case here that would make this buy even sweeter.

It woul be so awesome if they used the MGS2/3 engine to remake MGS1!!! I can only dream for an MGS4 engined version of all 4

its perfect for people like me who have lost MGS 1 and scratched MGS3. i personally can't wait to buy it, such great value, especially for those who have never played. its been posted in the PS2 section already though

I wish it had MGS4 included then id buy it but i dont need to buy those all again just to have them then all of a sudden mgs4 comes out and they release another pack with that in it....It also only has directors cut and nothing else really special about it. However its only 30 bucks! If you never played the series you better get this or ill cut you!

So whats the difference with subsistence and normal MGS3 Im looking at buying it cause I never got a chance to finish 3

Edit: I just read that it contains the original MGS and MGS2 is that true?

Yes it is true, subsistence comes with extra stuff like online.

I hope the MGS 1 is not exactly the same as the PSX one, hopefully some sort of improvement. I replayed MGS 1(finished in a day and a half!) and I forgot pixelated it is.

Btw does anyone know if this will be available in local places such as bestbuy/futureshop/ebgames?

No it comes with the original MG1 and MG2. Metal Gear 1 and 2.Very different from Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2.

That means no Metal Gear 1 and 2

Actually, you are wrong. His post is a reply to a post asking about Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Which includes Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2.

Metal Gear 1 and 2 are on the 2nd disc of extras for Subsistance and its confirmed that disc is not in the set so i am right.
Basically all you get from MGS3 subsistance is snake eater with the camera fix subsistance has.
