12 games left. It's still a very unrealistic expectation. Mid-season, perhaps, but not at the business end of the season. 97 points says it all.

Nice of SAF to say we were the best team (as we were at OT) but I suppose its easy for him to say when he just sneaked 3 points!

I have to disagree with Sir Alex, I feel we were the better team and the stats prove it. Norwich did play great and should of got a point.

I'm a little worried how bad Hernandez and Welbeck played together. Rooney better be ready against Spurs.

    Thought Jones did well yesterday.

Insert not sure if serious GIF :P

Just wanted to make a quick shout out for Johnny Evans! One of the most criticised players and overlooked at United. (When people mention future centre back partnership they seem to say Jones and Smalling)

He however has come into his own and has been top class (Rival fans don't seem to rate him and I'm not sure why, he's a great footballer and reads the game well) he has made us not miss Vidic so much; which is the biggest compliment I can give him.

I would compare him to Rio at a young age Which makes sense why no one rates him as we only rate the "passionate and brave" centre backs. *sigh*

I really do hate this country sometimes

Like I said a few pages back, Jonny has been our best player and most consistent this season. Gotta give him props he has come into his own since the vidanator died and i would say he has been more vida like then rio like. however he seems to be a perfect mix of the 2.

The Little Pea was poor yesterday...I think he struggles a bit when defenses play a deeper line, so he hasn't got the space to run into. The one good chance he did have he got the ball stuck under his feet and it was an easy save for Ruddy.

MoM yesterday, from a Utd point of view, was between Giggs and Scholes. I think I counted Scholes giving the ball away once yesterday, straight to Wilbraham who brought a class save out of De Gea. He always seems to find or make space for himself, pity he wasn't still 10 years younger.

Ericcsson was such a **** playing him left wing during the Euro's in Portugal.

    .
Well said, great post. Scholes is my absolute favourite player of all time. There was a period where a Norwich player was closing him down and he did a little swivel of the hips and a turn and made some space and passed it. I know I probably massively overrate him, but I just love watching him play. He makes it look so easy.

Agreed on Sven It showed how much politics comes into the England job, when you think about it a midfield 4 of

    Scholes - Gerrard - Lampard - Beckham

was going to get absolutely raped by anyone with an attacking midfielder, Gerrard is a really good footballer, however he is not a great central midfielder, Lampard isn't exactly great in defence either. Common sense would have dictated someone like Nicky Butt or someone who could hold to sit behind them. (We appear to have come to grasp this concept with the rise of Scott Parker.)

Would love to see Scholes play for England one more time, however you just know he would get scapegoated hugely if any manager took him.

EDIT: Just did the BBC predictor - I usually do it this stage of the season. (I remember last year I did it, or maybe the year before, and I had Arsenal winning it after a huge run of wins, I remember MetalWarrior shouting me down as wrong )

Well I have done the same thing this year, I am always very generous to our rivals and give quite a lot of upsets to us (I think to avoid disapointment).

I have City winning it with 95 points and us coming 2nd with 89.

    Surely I am wrong though?!

I don't want to take anything away from Scholes and Giggs' performances, but I felt De Gea was comfortably MOTM. Made a few key saves that others might not have had and generally dealt with the crosses very well, which was crucial seeing how many of those they attempted. There was one cross in particular that most keepers wouldn't have come out for where he made a fantastic and very athletic leap to claim it. An inspiring and ultimately match winning performance.

Showing why he will one of the best goalies in the world soon. Of course he was gonna have few blips here and there, but he has been immense recently. So pleased for him.

Still no media praise for him though.

I still **** over his save from Mata's free kick!

    Defo!

Yeah the media are so quick to put down a 20 year old keeper in a different country, but they are sure slow to praise him.

He is going to make more mistakes, no doubt about it, but he has shown he will defo become a world class keeper soon.

To be honest, the **** the media gave De Gea was good because now I know what journalists to ignore... If a supposed football journalist don't understand a young keeper will need time to adapt his play for a new league I have no interest in reading their opinion regarding anything. Bozo warning went off instantly.

I gave us a loss to Spurs and a draw at City on the BBC predictor and we win the title by 92 points to City's 88. I did give us wins in all other games though, which is possible considering our easy run but still unlikely. And I did give City a loss at Arsenal and 2 draws in other tricky aways, which isn't controversial either but optimistic from our point of view. I do think around the 90 points mark is a good prediction for both sides, considering the strong points tallies up til now.

It is the English media after all.. bash De Gea because he is "foreign" but also defend the countless amounts of dives by a player like Bale.

If De Gea was English he'd be praised and we would have gotten articles talking about if he could knock Joe Hart off his perch.

Macheda has been charged for improper conduct on Twitter: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/7552269/

Very disappointed in hm. If he's not good enough to play for us, and not really tearing it up at QPR, why the hell does he think he can go on Twitter and drag his and the clubs name down the mud? About ready to get rid of him now.

We also told the world how in Wales it is common practice to go into Liverpool threads and write things that may provoke your enemies; also your grandfather was actually a troll.
