I think he is a great signing, but from the outside it looks like he only wanted to join United. So hardly a big accomplishment, same goes for Powell too. I'm just pleased the two players signed so far chose to join the club. After the Hazard nonsene, footballers had begun to turn my stomach even more than usual.
As the squad stands I think they'll win the PL, but are they any closer in Europe?
One thing that sticks out in the Fergie statement,
In that little part, even he himself thinks United do not pay him enough."My decisions and beliefs are not based around what is best for my personal financial gain.
"That is an accusation that insults me. If that was the case I would have left Old Trafford a long time ago.
Funny how the Glazers seem to be the highest paid players at the club, for doing diddly squat.

Big signing? Your kidding me right. he was blatantly our 2nd and cheaper option. Defo not big accomplishment in my eyes.
With the players that chelski are signing, they are all young, so cant really say they are a short term option. i wouldve loved some of their signings.
granted we are TRYING to get more players in, but i bet will start away at everton with the team with have now......
Thanks to Final for the sick sig!

@bewaresuckers Are you serious? Dc89 and three-three times constantly ignore your rule breaking in this thread. (Quite a few posts bad enough they were deleted) He's been on this thread for ages and no one is going to block him except you.
DC brings something to this thread but everytime I see you all I see are insults towards other members... I can't remember what you ever posted here that was constructive in any way.
Stop being so serious and insulting. I'm surprised DC or three three times haven't done anything about your posts.Last edited by Firefox; 08-03-2012 at 17:05.

I'm at work just checking in! 33X has done what was needed, how many chances is the guy going to need?
Yeah, sometimes I go over the top with the anti-United stuff. But most of the time I back up what I am saying with an opinion and if you can't handle it you might just need to take a look at yourself.

The Chevy deal has been confirmed to be worth $559 million over the seven years.

I think Kagawa is the best signing of the summer so far. Followed by Cazorla for us
Sure Chelsea have bought Hazard but for an eye watering amount of money. He just isn't worth £35m
I will laugh if we get Sahin after you got Kagawa because I think they are the players that the opposite team need(ed) most. Sahin would be the bit of the jigsaw that would win Man U back the league. By a margin too probably

Can you imagine Man United loaning a player from Real Madrid. That would be embarrassing. We're competing with them, it isn't our job to get their players experience.
Even if he wanted to join United, you have to imagine there was a lot of pressure in Dortmund to take a bigger fee from, say, Real Madrid. Fergie has said as well the transfer was complicated.
If you own something you stand to make the most profit from it.
I don't buy the notion Kagawa was a second choice signing. Fergie said negotiations took a long time so more than likely they started earlier than what we think. Fergie probably wanted both Kagawa and Hazard but he wasn't going to pay stupid money which is wise.
I guarantee Man United as a club will be in better shape than Chelsea and City in 10-15 years. Doing business the way they do isn't healthy.
It can get a little repetitive and predictable when a person constantly takes the contrarian view.
Yeah. Although, I think Kagawa can help us win the league back. Last season almost all of our players failed to perform on a top level consistently if we can get them to play as well as they can we'll win it. I'm convinced of that. We have enough talent.Other opinions are available.

Lucas deal has been agreed and he's set to have a medical today, and also Van Persie will sign this week according to Fergie's mate Bob Cass - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...nd-signal.html
Let's not forget that for tomorrow's friendly Phelan will take charge as SAF is away on "buisness"

Daily Mail on RVP - They can't even get this line right.
"The Arsenal striker, thecurrent Footballer of theYear, has been courted byManchester City and InterMilan"

Im excited about possibly signing Moura, seems like a player with a bright future. I just hope this doesn't mean the sale of Nani.
I don't really want RVP though, him arriving will push Welbeck and Hernandez down the pecking order which I don't want, could ruin the development of Welbeck as well.
Seems like it will be a crazy few days with rumours flying all over the place.

Anderson was meant to be the next big Brazilian star. But he got big in a different way.
It's always a risk signing any player (I know from my own team lol) but £30m on a 19 year old Brazilian is a bigger one! Some of the South American players take a while to adapt to the pace. People said Aguero would take a season to get going in the Premier League, he didn't, but I think that's cause he's played in La Liga. Moura could struggle with the physicality of the game at first, we'll have to wait and see. Could be very interesting though.

dont think there was any doubt that we were getting him, but £30mil, plus £20mil for RVP and still no CM or LB signed............? not complaining but money could be spent in other areas.
and moura isnt a pure winger guys, he can play anywhere across the front.
Thanks to Final for the sick sig!

Brazilian media, in particular Globo Esporte (the Brazilian equivalent of the BBC) say Moura is set to join PSG in a deal worth €38m.
