Indeed. Huge boost for us if he can come back to full fitness and play some part this season.

Re Moura: It's getting ridiculous now. Not going to bother with that saga anymore before it reaches a definitive conclusion. In 2 hours I'm sure he's signing with Bayern Munchen.Other opinions are available.

The Moura saga is just like the RVP one. It's got out of hand.
Re: RVP - I think it's dawned on me now. He's a injury prone 29 year old who's had one very good season who no one is going for broke to sign. I think United & City are really not too fussed if they get him or not. Neither club are going to spend silly amounts of money on him and tie him into a mega contract.

Will be an interesting season United will want there crown back, Chelsea will be strong this season. Man city won't retain there title I think they'll get a CL spot though. Will be interesting how Liverpool do under Rodgers.
Will be interesting to see if we bring anyone else in.20...

Moura looks quite good.

____________
Van Persie has had many great seasons.. as a number 10 to score this much for us this season and half of the last when he was fit was great. He's always been great just injury plagued. I still think he'll be here next season and honestly United could use him .. he is a good creative player as a Number 10. But we aren't going to give him away for cheap especially to a Premier League club. So essentially.. United and City will not be getting him with all these factors. He'll end up staying. I'm not sure if he'd want to go to another premier league club anyways.
Was hoping he'd stay well into his 30's like Bergkamp.Last edited by Firefox; 08-06-2012 at 22:04.

Manchester United admit Usain Bolt would be a good addition to the side

Usain Bolt won the Men's 100m gold medal (Picture: Getty)
The 6ft 5in Jamaican, who won 100m gold in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday in 9.63 seconds, is known to be a keen footballer and has previously talked of his desire to play for Ferguson's side.
Bolt met the United boss and some of the team in 2009, and now a United spokesman has admitted that athletics' biggest name could well be a shrewd signing.
'As the fastest man on Earth, he would undoubtedly add speed to the team,' the spokesman told The Sun.
United defender Rio Ferdinand also added his voice to those calling for Bolt to join the Red Devils, saying on Twitter: 'If you want that trial at Man Utd shout me, I'll speak to the boss!! Well done in 100m, waiting for you to smash the 200m now!'
Bolt replied: 'After the Olympics we work on that...lol..thanks man.'
And there seems no doubt that Bolt is eager to have a chance to impress Ferguson.
'People think I am joking,' said Bolt, who goes off in the 200m heats on Tuesday. 'But if Alex Ferguson called me up and said, "OK let’s do this, come and have a trial", it would be impossible for me to say no.'
And the 25-year-old Jamaican legend, who still plays football in his free time, has every confidence that his size 13 feet could help do a job for the Premier League outfit.
'I would not take up the challenge if I didn’t think I was good enough,' said Bolt, who picked up his second 100m Olympic gold medal on Monday evening.
'I am a very accomplished player and know I could make a difference. I am in Britain for a few more days, if Alex Ferguson wants to give me a call he knows where I am.'
Meanwhile, Ferdinand has paid tribute to United's new recruits and youngsters, who have impressed him in pre-season.

From Bloomberg. Good news for United.Manchester United Ltd., the English soccer team with a record 19 national championships, received enough orders for all shares being sold in its U.S. initial public offering, said two people with knowledge of the matter.
The company and its owner, the Glazer family, are seeking to raise as much as $333 million by selling 16.7 million shares at $16 to $20 each, according to a regulatory filing last month. Banks managing the IPO are scheduled to stop taking orders for the shares at noon in New York on Aug. 9, according to one of the people, who declined to be identified because the talks are private.
United, whose players include England’s striker Wayne Rooney and Welshman Ryan Giggs, picked the U.S. as its listing venue after ditching plans for a share sale of as much as $1 billion in Singapore. The Glazer family acquired United for 790 million pounds ($980 million) in 2005, and also own the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Manchester United spokesman Philip Townsend declined to comment.

He doesn't travel and people(twitter) go nuts about him staying behind to do club business.
I reckon it might be more to do with too much travelling, he just had a long flight back from China and then more flights to Europe. He stated earlier this summer, he might have to slow down in regards to travelling.

I think the intent might be, Fergie is nearing his end and wants a proven player for another shot at the CL. Other than that it makes zero sense. All I can keep thinking of is, Owen Hargreaves for some odd reason.
The MEN said just two days ago the Moura deal was nearly tied up, and now this. I will not believe it until I see Wenger frowning more than usual.
At least Chevrolet are joining.... until Obama is told what they are paying.

RVP would be a great signing. Fergie won't use him as much as Arsenal did cause they relied on him, so Welbeck and Chicho will still get plenty of games. Plus he'll be able to rest Rooney a little bit more.
