http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...er-United.htmlEXCLUSIVE: Danny strikes new United deal: Welbeck set to sign for five more years
Danny Welbeck will sign a five-year contract worth £75,000 a week at Manchester United.
The England striker, out of Wednesday’s clash with Italy through injury, will end protracted talks about his new deal.
Welbeck, 21, had been reluctant to sign another long-term contract until his salary reflected his growing status as Wayne Rooney’s regular strike partner at United.
Five more years: Danny Welbeck looks set to sign a new deal with Manchester United
He made 30 appearances in the Barclays Premier League last season after forcing his way ahead of his rival forwards at Old Trafford— Dimitar Berbatov, Javier Hernandez and the departed Michael Owen.
He scored nine league goals for United before he was taken to Euro 2012 by new England chief Roy Hodgson. This season, Ferguson has set a minimum target of 20 goals for Welbeck, who now has nine England caps.
His new contract, to be signed imminently, is packed with incentives based on future performance.

David Johnson on Twitter is saying RVP will sign for us tomorrow or Thursday. He knows some of our Youth players and was right about the Pogba, Morrison and Zeki situations months before anyone else.
Also some Arsenal fan on there who is well respected says he's likely to be joining us.

Chilean closing on switch
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/7988784Universidad de Chile striker Angelo Henriquez has reportedly travelled to England to undergo a medical with Manchester United.
However, rivals Manchester City are also said to be in talks for the highly-rated 18-year-old.
Henriquez was already in Europe, as he is with Chile's youth squad who are playing in numerous friendlies - including the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland.
United have been tracking Henriquez for months and he has already trained with the club - but reports in England claim City want him too.
But Chilean sources say he is set to join United.
Universidad de Chile's assistant manager Sebastian Beccacece was asked about Henriquez.
"No doubt he is a very useful player, with a good goalscoring talent," he told Radio ADN.
"But we have to count on the players that we have available, not the ones that aren't available."

If we sign Henriquez I don't think we're signing RVP. Even though I expect Henriquez to be immediately loaned out after signing.

I don't know. I guess. But even if we sell Berba, whom nobody seems to want to buy, and Kiko, we'd still have one striker too many. But again, I assume Henriquez will be loaned out. But still at 18, he should get a proper chance to make the team next season if not before.

Friendly against Aberdeen tonight, Fletcher on the bench! So is Dwight Yorke, Clayton Blackmore and Fortune, our new signings.

75k at this stage in this career.. modern footballers.
At least he's proven and will do great for the club but it's still crazy. At least it shows Manchester United can pay the high wages.

Beat me to it tut. Can't believe we're actually getting him, well, unless he fails the medical. I bet Piers Morgan is going apeshit.
