Goodness... Other than it being a loss, I don't see how it's not considered a freakin' great game. That was back and forth. Also, someone will have to explain the "we" in suggestions here. I don't understand it. "We should have done better", etc. It doesn't make sense to draw yourself in as a participant of the team or league. I'm not busting any balls here, I honestly don't understand the use of the word in relation to a team. Someone help me with that.

If you take off the number 2 scorer in the PL last season when chasing a goal you must be an idiot. You guys can run the numbers yourself, take out Rooney's match winning goals last season and see where we would have finished. Hint: It wouldn't have been level on points with the champions.
But sure, blame it on the best player we have. Makes sense.

I'm not disappointed in losing. I'm disappointed in the way we played. It doesn't look like we've improved much at all during the summer.Other opinions are available.

Another thing to consider. If we put Rooney on the market tomorrow - what teams would make bids? I'll tell you, Man City, PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona. He must be shit to walk into those teams... Jackasses.

You really don't get it do you? Rooney could shit on your couch and you'd still defend him. Why does he take longer than any other player in the world to get going? Every. Single. Season. And after every break from football as well. If he were a young player we would tolerate it. But he's almost 27 now. Is it so much to ask from one of the highest paid footballers in Europe at his peak age to be in any sort of shape at the start of a new season? He didn't look fit, his touch was all over the place, he looked underprepared. It's unacceptable.
You saying he was the only one who was looking to get the ball forward is a blatant insult to some of our players who DID look ready for the new season and were trying. And just keeping him on despite him being abysmal because he might score a goal? RVP says hi. Rooney shouldn't be untouchable.

Players are different, Rooney may be a slow starter but how can you reach your peak if you don't play?
You say Rooney looked unfit - LOOKED - I rather trust our physio team than your judgment over the fucking TV. Looked, thats the funniest thing I've read. We spend millions on player fitness but to you he looked unfit. That's so funny.
He certainly was the only one looking to get the ball towards the goal for the whole 90 minutes.
As for keeping him on, I'd rather play the devil I know than the devil I don't know. You don't take a match winner off either. You just don't.
Clearly Fergie agrees since he took off Welbeck for RVP and not Rooney. RVP didn't make an impact either in the short time he had.
Also, I'd never sub Rooney for RVP in the first game of the season. That sends the wrong message. Rooney can play, and be a top scorer for 7-9 years while we'd do well to get the 4 years we have signed RVP for out.Other opinions are available.

I will keep on saying this till the cunt buys one, we need a physical presence in cm, how can we let fellani bully us and look like messi again?!
And rooney can fuck off, how can he not be fit enough for the start of the season, he was fat, slow, poor touches etc, he shouldnt be undroppable when we have 5 other class strikers who can come in and do a job
nani - fuck off u inconsistent cunt
scholes - fuck off u old rash cunt, why are you still playing in our team ffs
kagawa, big dave, vida and clevz - sex
Thanks to Final for the sick sig!

We don't have 5 top class strikers. We have two, Rooney and RVP. Chica isn't there yet. Welbeck still has work to do. Berbatov is unmotivated. He won't score another goal for us ever.
