Half arsed performance that happened to be too much for arsenal. We need to be better than this...i'll take the points tho.

Missed most of the game. Nice to be top of the table though. Thought RVP did the right thing by not celebrating the goal.

Very weird, we were so poor and their pen wasnt a pen, but im glad we won the group and smalling got 90mins. Best young english CB.
Not really happy with wazza playing so deep, he is almost a DMC now, Im sure he isnt neither but that kinda sums up CM if carrick/Clevz isnt playing. But no doubt RVP HAS to play up top with Wazza just behind.Last edited by three3-times; 11-08-2012 at 08:54.

Shouldnt paper over the cracks, pleased we won, but we just cant defend. Scholes shouldnt of started either. Smalling did OK for his 2nd game in 4 days after 6 months out.
Lil pea is just the one. he has also rounded up his game to become more than just a poacher.
RVP is just sex
Wazza was AWFUL.
Young shouldn't play. He has been god aweful even after having 3 games under his belt.
About Scholes, he is the perfect guy to bring on when we are coasting 3-0 at 70th minute to keep possession and spray the balls around a bit on the wings for the occasional conter attacks. He looked very rusty today and invariably so. We can't just use an old guy once in a month and expect him turn in a performance next to Carrick of all possible mid-fielders. Cleverley didn't play in the mid-week and was quite good along side Carrick against Arsenal, thus it confuses me as to why he didn't start.
Hopefully, we will have a Ando + Cleverley mid-field soon.
Scholes and Carrick shouldn't start together.
It's obvious, isn't it? Or at least it should be.
Scholes + Carrick = no pace, little mobility and plenty of time for the opposition to flood back and reorganise their defensive shape.
Also, Carrick almost always ends up playing far deeper than he should, almost as if he's deferring to Scholes at every opportunity. Or worse, he just flits between 10 yards either side of the half way line to little discernible effect.
Scholes is still an asset but more as someone to turn to when you're looking to close out a game.
I agree Young should never be first choice. To be fair though, he's only playing his fourth game of the season. The problem is that with Nani almost certainly a goner in January, there aren't many options. Maybe Kagawa?Last edited by three3-times; 11-11-2012 at 14:57.

Missed the game yesterday but saw some highlights. What in the world was Smalling about in the challenge for their first goal? He has to be stronger in those challenges, I know he was up against a big guy with a lot of pace but still. Rio or especially, Vidic, wouldn't let themselves be taken out in such a challenge.
Also, it's great to be able to turn games around like we can. But to have to do it game after game isn't good. It'll affect our physic later on in the season. SAF must find a way to get the players to perform from the first second until the last if we're going to have a successful season.
I feel we have the ingredients to win both the league and the CL if we can mix them right.Last edited by Tutankhamun; 11-11-2012 at 18:07.

Granted. My intention wasn't to sound harsh either. I'm just saying, that's one thing in his game he needs to improve if he's going to be a regular for us. He's obviously a big, big part of the future for us and I'm sure he'll get stronger and smarter with age.
I think he relish playing for the biggest team in the world. But, that being said, you never know what's going to happen in the future. But for the foreseeable future I think he's ours. We're also very good at keeping the players we want to keep.Other opinions are available.
