    I dun goofed.

I'm not rooting for either team but I do hope Cheech can score.

    Interesting line-up by Ferguson.

Good solid win, job done bring on Chelsea in the next round.

Nani did really well when he came on my man of the match.

Yeah Nani was good. Not a great match but a nice win in the end.

I'm not upset but I've never been one of those people that thnk Gill has done a bad job. Quite the opposite. I think he's been tremendously influential in the teams success. Gill to me was the perfect man to find and get SAF'S replacement when that day comes. Hopefully he'll still be on the board then.

You also never know with a new CEO how it will change the structure and culture of a club, so that's something to keep an eye out for in 2014.

It's hard for us to judge exactly what Gill achieved, but he worked very well with Fergie and that's always a positive for me. We had a fantastic period of success during his time and that means he must've done a lot of things right in his position. We've definately moved forward as a club under him.

He scored plenty for Dortmund, it's just taken him a while to get going in the Premier League. His class finally shone through.

Kagawa will be a great player for us in the long-term. Fergie has said himself he'll be better still next season and we're going to need it with Scholes presumably retiring for good.

Curious statement, Scholes and Kagawa are two very different players. Maybe with a bit of imagination Kagawa could be compared to the Scholes of 10 years ago, but certainly not to the more recent version. As for that one, we've clearly got Carrick who's taken over that role in majestic fashion. Carrick at the moment is every bit as influential for us as Scholes during 2006-2009 in that deeper role of his. I'd even go so far to say this is the first season we're not missing Scholes - technically he's still there, but he's not playing so you get the point.

Kagawa is even something of a luxury for us, in that he's part of an attacking line-up that's already ridiculously strong with RVP, Rooney, Nani, Chicha, Welbeck and when on form, Valencia as well. But of all those players, he's arguably the most creative one and technically the most gifted after RVP. But he's certainly more attacker than midfielder.

Well, I may never watch the CL again. Either the ref's are incompetent or corrupt.

I can safely say I've never seen a more disgusting match in my life. We kept our honour in any case. But I'm not sure if we should still bother with this horrendous competition. Just about every other game is headlined by refs, and they determine the eventual winners more often than not. The league is the bread and butter, as it is won by being the best team consistently.

Games like today... Fuck off. You spend so much time looking forward and Fergie and his coaches so much time perfecting the game plan (and it really worked like a charm until the sending off), only to be fucked by such an incompetent horrendous cunt of a referee. I'm fuming, disgusted but still proud of the lads.

    Fuck off Champions League.

I feel sorry for everyone who paid a lot of money to see that "football" match. Absolute shame. The CL died to me tonight. In the coming years when we win the CL I'll be happy we get the prize money but I won't care for the trophy. Joke of a competition.

One thing from the sending off. What did Ramos whisper to the referee before he made his decision? He had a sneaky word in his ear. And then a red card magically appears.

Why are some idiots(not on here) questioning Fergie for his the team selection last night? I thought the players and tactics were superb until the red card. My only gripe after the red card, why didn't they put RvP on the left and leave Danny to do what he had been doing?

And, is this the beginning of the end for Rooney at United?

That question might get this thread moving again.
