Now that's an argument for the pub. Doubt you'd find more than three people who agree, in tandem, with that. He's certainly up there but I think it's far too subjective to even consider an outright 'best' player of the Premier League.

Unless it's Jones. Because, well, Jones.

Look at it this way, what other player can play in virtually any position and do it practically flawlessly while retaining one of the highest games to goals ratio in the PL? There's no one else.

This is why it is so vital to keep Rooney at United, his game is so refined now it's beyond par. His work rate today was out of this world. Wouldn't have won it without him and if he was playing for Arsenal they'd won.

Well, I wholly agree that he's absolutely indispensable to Manchester United and it's a credit to Moyes that he managed to smooth all the traction over during the summer months. The criteria for the best player in the league is clearly ill-defined, if defined at all so you're always goin' to have plethora of differing opinions so there's little point discussing it with different fans who have contrasting allegiances. Objectivity in football is difficult to come across!

    Breaking news:

Phil Jones was stopped by police as he left Old Trafford after the match and held in connection with a 42 million pound theft. After a quick search, Mesuit Ouzil was removed from his back pocket and he was sent on his way..

    Hiyoooo!

United are the first team this season to win three on the trot. On to the next game, Cardiff away.

Silly slip-ups and we desperately need some reinforcement in January. At least that's ten games unbeaten, but the should've been killed.

    Play Shinji.

    Give Cheech some service.

Draw or a goal win either way.. I don't do predictions, the fence is always a comfortable place to watch events unfold from!

Depends how we play I suppose, we have the players to win there but the way the season has gone so far who knows?

And those goals you scored should've been negated.

    Rooney should've been sent off.

Sure Medel slapped Fellaini in the face.

One thing's for sure, Leverkusen will be a different beast to the puppy who limped into Old Trafford. Hard to gauge tactical ideas when everyone's unsure of who'll be fit and who won't. We're already getting overrun in midfield so I'm wary of what it'll be like in Germany. At least Sam is out.

So you had faith in him before? I lost what little I had when he paid all that money for Fellaini.

Nevermind though the greatest player in the history of football is happy again. All down to Moyes brilliant man management. I just hope he starts to show with the team what kind on manager he is, because so far it is a Fergie team with Fergie tactics, minus the main ingredient.

On Sunday I actually got off my backside during the game, to go and peel some potatoes instead of watching the game. Much fun was had.

Not much of a faith rather than giving the man enough chance to prove himself, and now as we are closing on the end of the first half, i haven't seen much from him, The Arsenal game was a long shot but after we actually gained 3 points and closed in the top 3 we ridiculously let 2 easy points slip away, this is the manager's fault mainly.

If we continue to play like this it would mean that no silverware for us this season, not a total disaster( as long as we qualify for Champions League ) but it would meant that Moyes had his chance fully and needs to be replaced. I say ditch the plan old British mentality and bring someone Latino, Simeone comes to mind, he is very enthusiast and he is doing a great job with Atletico.

PS: close call on that Plain thig yesterday, thank God it all went well.

We've played $#@!e but we're not far off and unbeaten in ten games - it's not all doom 'n gloom, fellas. I am interested in his questionable substitutions, though. I'd love to know his mindset for doing so. Is he still trying to shake off that Everton mentality whereby he tries to hold onto results? I dunno... but he's got a whole lot more footballing knowledge than any of us so it must be somethin'. Whatever it is it ain't bloody workin'. That all being said, there's the pressing issue of an evening at the BayArena to tend to: RvP and Vidic remain in Manchester and we're 21/10 to win. It's going to be a whole different kettle a fish and I'm wary.

Players and the manager shouldn't let yesterday's match fool them, we were practically alone on the pitch. Nani was a piece of garbage and i don't understand why Rooney stayed for so long, i though he would get substituted after the 3rd goal, the guy needs a rest.

When we're not pressed hard in midfield it makes us look better than we are, if I'm honest. Leverkusen were horrid - never pressed, some of the worst full-back performances I've seen in a long time, there was acres of space to exploit which, in turn, made Valencia look fantastic. That said, Giggs (Mr. Evergreen) dominated the midfield and was superb, Jones was his diminutive self and Kagawa/Rooney shone. Ferdinand was a little shaky and while Smalling's crossing's still dirt he had a good game. Let's take this into Spurs and destroy 'em!

I've heard it was Leverkusens highest loss in a home game ever - including national and international games!

I'm glad I didn't watch the game, they must have played terribly.
