Yeah good point ultimate Warrior.
Fergie does mix it up buying established players and youth. Buying the likes of Saha, cole, Johnsen, Yorke, blanc in the past and youngsters also.

No doubt you guys spend on youth only difference is you guys are willing to spend on the best of the best youth this past few years with big figures like Rooney/Ronaldo/Jones/Smalling/De Gea etc.. and we'll pick up the cheap budget ones like rvp song fabregas jenkinson.
Wenger said we signed Cristiano Ronaldo and he went home in an Arsenal shirt but by chance a United agent at a friendly heard and they offered much more. And you know how cheap we are.
Ronaldo, Fabregas, Song, RVP, and Henry would have been quite something.

Wenger said they were a couple 100k off agreeing a fee, then United saw what he could do and the rest was history.
I think Ronaldo and Henry in the same team wouldn't have worked, too similar (Although on paper, the 2 best premier league players of all time together is mouth watering) I think whatever team had them would have been defensively raped
but I would have loved to have seen it.
Arsenal nearly agreed a fee for Smalling and were also in for Jones, but both chose United in the end, you guys got Ramsey over us though which was a big disappointment from our POV.
We def have a culture of signing youngsters, I don't know why anyone would even debate that tbh, Arsenal also have a great culture of that.

Yeah I remember that, we all thought Ramsey had a preference for United and we were close to him but somehow he got away. He still looks a bright talent and a classy player despite his terrible injury, so that was definately a disappointment. Weren't we interested in Alex Chamberlain as well? Anyway, good win Fulham, Arsenal suffered badly in the second half.

Quite a shock that United have let this happen not only with Pogba, but now Morrison.

Who's in charge of these things at United?

when he says we are fine......i wanna hit him!
Two midfielders playing in defence, a defender and a forward playing in midfield is it any surprise that Utd made blackburn look good. Utd have needed an overhaul in midfield for the last two seasons at least but nothing has materialised. De Gea is not the answer in the goalkeeping role he has been shaky all season whereas Lindegard looks more confident. Rooney's form is in and out as is his behaviour apparently. Nani plays well for a while then starts believing his own press and forgets the team to become the player he was a few seasons ago, selfish, doesn't cross the ball when it's needed and unpredictable. Come on Ferguson get off your high horse and smell the coffee...you need a new midfield!!

Not while carrick is in defence! i feel all we REALLY need is a BALLWINNER.
as we play with wingers, always have and always will
i think this injury situation is worse than a few seasons ago.
i didnt ignore you DC, i just didnt think it would happen. Pogbas contract by the way ends next year as im sure does morrison.

I'd bet nothing has changed in terms of youth contracts at United. The issue is, nowadays, players have agents that are trying to squeeze every little dollar they can from the clubs they deal with.
I wouldn't worry too much about that report. I'll wager both Pogba and Morrison will will be at Man United next season. I'm willing to bet the kitchen sink on that.

Yeah Morisson wouldn't move abroad I'd be surprised if he did.

i agree with this, he simply isnt ready...... yes he will be world class but not yet, however David De Gea has probably not been helped by the absence of a consistent back four at Manchester United

I think Anders is the rightful number 1 at this stage, however I can see De Gea starting against Newcastle to not hit his confidence even more by dropping him. Sir Alex would say go out and prove everyone wrong, he may not be quite ready but he is not a terrible keeper.

I hate Piers Morgan since he doesn't support the manager or team but Tut.. come on mate you can't be so stupid to think he was referring to a plane crash but the poop part.. we all hate him but he isn't so evil to wish someone who he talks with to die?
Annoying? .. Yes very much so.. Evil Bastard who has no soul? No. Stop reading these sites where there's a hivemind mentality and learn to think on your own. (Applies to a fan of any team)

More proof the media have it in for De Gea and want to see him fail. Jamie Redknapp doing analysis on City Liverpool game and begins to talk about the Joe Hart performance and then and decides to talk about De Gea troubles and how he is not good enough.
What the hell has that got to do with Joe Harts performance against Liverpool.
