In preparation for the PlayStation 3's November 17th launch in North America, Activision has announced that Tony Hawk’s Project 8, Call of Duty 3 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance have all been shipped to retail locations throughout the continent, and are ready for sale.

Gamers who were lucky enough to receive a console from Sony's initial shipment should feel relieved that their game pre-orders from Activision will come through. It's expected that more companies will confirm their software is available in retail outlets in the coming day or so, as the 17th gets closer to arriving.
