Just stumbled back onto the thread and noticed my reveal tags were broken as well as a bunch of the links are now broken. With that I figured I would just cut out all the mess from the OP and just leave it with the basics. It's cool to see you guys have kept this thread alive so long . Hope it keeps going strong!

Its weird to re-write the stuff i wrote in my old post. But i'll just go through it again.

I am jealous of the guys who are enjoying DTS-HD-MA & Dobly True HD tracks like reflex and other. I am missing out on it.

Being an Engineering 2nd year student this is the best i can afford. Been a tech freak since i was a kid an its been a good run so far.

Cant wait to finish school and get a full-time job and get more gadgets !







All the equipment is in my sig. The only changes that are made since i took the pictures is i bought a lot more Blu-ray's during the Christmas break.

I almost pulled the trigger on the Onkyo-SR 805 and pulled out in the last second thinking i wont be using its full capabilities with my current Audio gear. Oh well, couple more years and i'll be done school !

I think I've got a nice set-up.

here's what i got

• Onkyo 605 w/HDMI (~$400)

• Comcast HD Box
• 7.1 Speakers (Onkyo default) (5 shown)

TBH I have seen much higher quality systems overall with this new thread (err well including before it magically was deleted). I'm sure it has to do with the amount the forum has grown but regardless of why, its nice to see

I'll be honest I don't think I'll have the time to add any of the new setups to the OP till maybe next week. It's the last week of classes before my spring break so I'm a busy little dude right now. I actually should be studying for a test I have tomorrow but I'm procrastinating at the moment

Nice stuff dude. I would make one recommendation from what I can see (or two depending on how you look at it). Move All of your front speakers including the center down to ear level and those speakers you have on the tables need to be placed about mid-way throughout the room.

hey badz_ps3 i dont know if this is where you wanted me to post some pictures but here they are. sorry about the poor quality, taken on the cell phone. i will make an HD video tomorrow and put it on youtube so you can see it in its full HD glory!

anyways those tall grills on the sides have RF-82's, middle speaker RC-62. the two middle grills are just for ventilation with tv and components, no speakers! then the sub is out of the picture i think, under a little counter to the right. the two rears are RS-52's. the cool thing is about these klipsch speakers are that you the tower speakers do MOST of the bass. the only bass i hear from the sub is that ULTRA low stuff so you dont get all that floppy messy bass. i wish i could remember what kind of speaker wire we used. we went to all the pro audio places and they said to get one of the higher quality ones, we got the same thing from mernards for half the price! if you have any questions PM or il check back here tomorrow.
