Darksiders only cost approx. 12 £ in the EU store im not sure if its different on the UK store though but im presuming most of the content is the same. The game was actually only 6£ on the euro store a 3 weeks ago or something but quickly changed to the other price again not sure how long it ran for but it reminded me a bit of the error they did when they put RE4 up at first

I was going to start a new thread, but I have to make 5 posts first.
So, I have some free time coming up, and I'm thinking of getting a new "hack and slash." I want one with free world movements. I guess you could describe that as "non-linear". I'm playing Dead Rising right now. It's OK, but a little boring and a little tedious (still fun tho). Anyways, here's the big question. Any thoughts on Lollipop Chainsaw or on game developer Grasshopper Manufacture? I haven't played any games by Grasshopper (they don't have a large PS3 collection).
The guy at Gamestop got me to put $10 on it so they will have it first day. I'm almost certain I'll back out of that.
Here's a list of some of my favorite games...
1. Manhunt (PS2)
2. Gears of War series (XBox 360)
3. GTA - San Andreas (PS2)
4. Dead Space (XBox 360)
5. Link - The Legend of Zelda (NES)
6. Resident Evil (PS1)
So, I'm looking for a game with a wide-open environment. Some RPG-type leveling up. And lots of people or animals getting decapitated. Maybe Prototype 2?? I haven't played the first one. Something like Ninja Gaiden is interesting at first, but is more of a button smasher than anything. I used to like 2D fighters, but got sick of the button smashing.
Any ideas?

I've never played Darksiders. In fact, the titles I have actually played is pretty limited.
I'm just tired of shooting stuff. I like Gears, and COD, and GTA, but sometimes I want something more than just point and click shooting. And I really want something with a sense of humor. That's why I've gone away from military games.
What is "NON-LINEAR" exactly?

Wish I had seen this thread earlier. Anybody have suggestions for a good co-op game? Me and a friend are playing RE5 currently, but we're not too far away from being done with the game. Preferably disc-based, since we've played a lot of the PSN ones.

If you like Resident Evil, I think you would like Dead Space, but I'm not sure if it has Co-Op.
I'm playing Dead Rising 2, and I think it has Co-Op. It's a lot different than Resident Evil. The story is downright cartoonish compared to RE. The story isn't as in-depth. And there aren't any puzzles that I can think of. But the game play is fun.

Naw Dead Space 1/2 didn't have co-op, but they were fantastic games for sure. I did however enjoy the original dead rising, so if 2 does indeed have co-op then I'm sold. Thanks a bunch for the suggestion.
EDIT: Googled and Dead Rising 2 does indeed have co-op. Really appreciate it dude.I once ate a dirty sock...don't tell anyone.

Hi there,
First time I've used a forum, so appologies if its in the wrong place or if I have done something the wrong way.
Ive recently got a PS3 and am looking for some advice on what games I should buy.
PS3 Games I currently have and enjoy:
1. Rage
2. 007 Goldeneye: Reloaded (not as good as Rage, or the N64 original, but its ok)
Games I have played and loved on the PC:
1. Skyrim.
2. World of Warcraft. (played to death and back, 10x level 85's)
3. Fallout 3.
4. Fallout: New Vegas.
It's also worth noting I have played Call of Duty: Black Ops on the PC when it first came out. I got it for chritmas, was very ill so didnt even install it until boxing day afternoon, 8 hours later, completed. I hated the game, so much so its put me off other Call of Duty games, just incase they are the same. The entire game had some amazing features and good graphics n all, but the single player felt like I was running down a gauntlet shooting the pop-up enemies as I went, until I reached the end and that was it. Felt more like a film trailer than a game. There was no level advances, stocking up on items, exploring, just a mad rush for the end. I know its ment to have a huge multiplayer option and thats great, if you play online, I don't so it felt like a wasted present. Ok rant over.
Ive been thinking about the following games:
1. GTA 4 (Loved San Andreas on the PS2)
2. Red Dead Redemption
3. Far Cry 2
4. Batman: Arkum City
5. Sniper Elite V2
6. Wet (yet to play a Bethsda game I don't like)
7. Brink (as above)
I think its fair to say I like to have the freedom to go and explore to some degree, I like character advancement and FPS's. So whats your thoughts on the games Im thinking about, and are there any "must have's" you could recomend please?

I would say the best two on your list is Batman: Arkham City and Red Dead Redemption. Both have a lot of explain and both are great.
I myself would recommend the Uncharted series, Infamous 2, Portal 2, the Assassins Creed series, Bioshock series, Dead Space series... There are so many great games out i know I'm forgetting to mention a bunch

Am I crazy, or was anyone else not caught up in the Batman: Arkham City craze?
Maybe I'm just burnt out on superheroes, and Batman especially. I've seen every movie, watched the cartoon, watched the Adam West series. I gues I'm just done with it. I'm about done with Spiderman as well. Can we get some cool new superheroes?
Uncharted series was pretty awesome. It's the best combination of puzzles and shooting.

Batman is the most badass superhero. You can't replace stuff like that

IMO, GTA4 was pretty boring. Never even got around to finishing the whole story. Seems like R* sacrificed a bit of fun for realism. GTA5 is looking a hell of a lot better.
RDR is easily one of my favorite games, and honestly, one of the best games this generation. At least from R*.
As for myself, can anyone recommend to me Starhawk or Max Payne 3? I'm mostly interested in multiplayer. Are they fun? Is the online active?__________
Awaiting: Deadpool, Payday 2, Tales of Xillia
PSN: JZombie24

You're on a gaming forum. And you just named the best AAA titles and told somebody to "check them out"
