Heavy Rain is a great game.
I'd choose MVC3 over SF4 if I were you.

I'd have to go with Marvel vs. Capcom 3. But ask yourself: Do you know more about Street Fighter or Marvel? If you know very little about Marvel and a ton about Street Fighter, SF4 would probably be more fulfilling an experience for you.

Here's a question for you...

Why did Bayonetta only get a 6.6 user review score? All I've heard is good things about it. It's definitely on my short list of games I'd like to get. On the other hand, Heavy Rain got like a 9.5 and it is boring the crap out of me. And I am very open to new game experiences. I'm not one that just likes to run around and shoot people.

The menu selections around the characters head are hard to see, the character movement is strange (I have to hold the direction to look in a direction and then hold down R2 to walk). The game decides everthing for you. You press R2 to walk, and the game decides if you should walk, jog, or run.

Half the time there's no difference in what dialogue you choose. You eventually have to choose them all. For instance, press X for compassion or press O for reverse psychology. I press X, it goes through that cutscene, then it comes back and I still have to press O to use that dialogue as well.

And the story is super depressing. The whole game is depressing. I'd rather have something like Lollipop Chainsaw, that will have a few chuckles along the way. I understand, this is like choosing "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" over "The Godfather"... but there's no accounting for taste. And, like The Godfather, Heavy Rain is BORING!

Heavy Rain just isn't your type of thing. It's just like the anime Full Metal Alchemist and my older brother: he didn't like it because it was too depressing for him. It just wasn't his type of anime.

FMA is legendary (brotherhood version). Heavy rain is supposed to be an emotional thriller so if people expect a traditional 'game' they may be disappointed

Bayonetta on the PS3 had some performance issues from what I can remember. Not sure if it's fixed now but that's probably why it had a low user score

Most issues were patched but I think the game still looks awful compared to the xbox version

I'm in a bind between Hot Shots or Disgaea 3 I like em both though argh..

I have played the game and neither have a played Demon's/Dark souls so I cant comment. I just said that the emphasis is on gameplay because that is what I made out from user reviews and critics.

I know people here that have spent like 80-90 hours in the game maybe you should ask Fenix

Well everyone who got KoA has loved the game. Take that as you will.
The combat and exploration are great but the story is meh.
