Well on the 17th we should find out what comes with the new PSN login with the EU forums and other official sony site.
Will we get a cool new site or system or will it just be the same old but now using your PSN login, post your views and what you think will happen.

Ok, if this is happening with the EU forum, and you guys are saying NOTHING is going to come of it, then what about the Killzone website? They're linking that to the PSN accounts too.... Sony are doing something and my bets is that its Beta's for both Home and Killzone , to test the integration of launching a game from home...
best of both worlds you see, Home gets tested, the functionality of launching games from home is tested, and also the killzone 2 online features are tested!

Sweet! Let the speculation begin.

Clue 1) Multiple forums are being linked to your PSN login details.
Clue 2) The SCEE Forums will be down from Mon 17/03/08 to Thurs 20-03-08.
Questions:
What kind of forum maintenance takes 4 days to complete?
Why specify the return of the forums on the exact same day that the PSN gets updated?
Deduction:
SCEE are conducting normal forum maintenance but, as usual, are f'ing slow doing it.
Speculation:
Everything we've ever wished for will be released on Thurs 20/03/08.
.
.
.
.
Yeah right!

I thought on the playstation forums that there was nothing to do with home with these updates?

Hmm, I must be psychic.

I don't know why I thought this might be done on time. Well done SCEE.
http://community.eu.playstation.com/...d.php?t=232383Hello all,
As you were most likely aware (after our deluge of emails and forum announcements over the past week!) the Forums were expected to be taken offline today, for a period of 3 days, to allow us to implement PLAYSTATION®Network authentication for Forum registration and login.
Unfortunately, a little more time is needed to add the final few finishing touches to the Forums for this update and so we have decided to postpone the planned changes. We now expect these changes to take place in late April.
Although the technical aspect of PSN Authentication is working fine, a little more TLC is needed in terms of the look and feel, and we just need some additional time to get everything ship-shape and ready for your arrival.

So they need a full month more to edit the 'look and feel' thats a hell of along time needed for a small job if all the tech side is working fine.

A delay? Surely not? But it's regarding the PS3 and the PSN and they NEVER have delays do they? Ah well, what can we do about it? I'm certainly used to the word delay by now, it's just a shame I lost all my faith in them in the process.

Now that sounds like a plan. You should also get some other naked person to spray 'silly string' around the offices....just for the hell of it really.
Is there actually any point of doing all this linkage stuff?
I'm not even a member of the official forums anyway. Should i bother signing up??

I think this 'dirty protest' is lacking. For maximum effectiveness, you need to leap on a desk, squat as if seated, and hit your bits repeatedly with a big wooden spoon.
seriously, though....This delay is indicative of Sony Europe's attitude..And for flip's sake..They announce the change about 5 days ago, and then at the last minute announce a month's delay. They MUST have seen the delay coming themselves.
