Now you can see that there is a lot, so people for example who don't want a 360 can get most of the 260 game libabry on the ps3 or pc. For me this shows me that there is nothing really on the 360 that you cant any where else.

Some of the games that are no highlighted can still come to other platforms i just couldn't find it confirmed. These titles could be:

SSX 4 (couldn't find any info for it)
Urban Chaos (original already on other platforms)
Interview with a made man (cancelled for xbox and ps2)
Moto GP 2006 (rest of the series on the pc)

The list is just a few games.

Now look at the games already released titles:

    Quake 4
    Call of Duty 2
    Condemned
    Need for Speed
    all the EA titles

These games are on other platforms as well as the 360, so if you are someone that owns a high pc there is not much point of getting a 360.

Now look at the non highlighted titles above in the list how many of them (apart from Halo 3) do you think will be a killer app or even worth buying. None of them are established franchises. So all the games worth getting on the 360 you can get from some where else.

Sure you have the Mistwalker titles but no one has never played them so we don't know how good they ll be.

Now what is the chances of halo 3 going to another platform such as the pc. This is meant to be the 360's killer app. Halo 1 went to pc but halo 2 didn't. If Halo 3 went then i think it will be a major blow to the 360.

Now lets look at the 360 competitors, first the ps3:

Tekken PS3 : ( Fighting ) Published by Namco , developed by Namco

Now that you can see that there are less titles than the 360, that cross platformed.

Most importantly are the quality of these titles, Tekken, Warhawk, Killzone and The Getway is just to mention a few.

Also games such as Lair, Final Fantasy, MGS, DMC are exlcusives that never really see the light of day on another platform.

You have to also remember that this is an early list of the games for the ps3, with no release date or price for it, it its an impressive list.

Also look at the promising titles such as Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Ni Oh and I-8.

Now lets look at the Revolution, a console that some people can say is not in direct competition with the 360, but no the less worth mentioning.

Unfortunately cant find a list for the revo, but games such as Mario, Zelda, Metro Prime, Super Smash Bros and various Final Fantasy side games, the revo has a strong line up of exclusives.

Also the new controller which will make it harder to port certain games, yes this can be bad but it will leave certain games exclusive. Also there innovation will make a few more companies wanting to make games for them. Look at DS how well its done and its game libabry, think something similar for the Revo.

As a conclusion, the 360 will need a few more exclusives to become more competitive and they still got a long way (game wise) to challenge Sony. This evidently shown in Japan, where their lack of exclusives, established games and lack of depth of their libabry has made them unsucessful.

P.S. I m not flaming the 360 and in no way intend to put the console down or insult its fan base, this also goes towards fans of the ps3 and the revo. This is just a matter of opinion, i m not a fan boy and i do like the 360 and revo.

Also if any info is wrong with the lists on anything else in this thread make sure to tell me.
    Diablo 3 - DOTA 2 - Deus EX 3 - Half Life: Episode 3

There's a tiny little problem with your list, Gears of War WILL ONLY BE ON THE 360, Cliffy B said that Gears of War wouldn't be on any other console other than 360.

Anyway, some of the titles you listed as multiplatform haven't been named multiplatform and you're just assuming they are going to go multi, of course some will and some won't.

Just to let you know though, Microsoft probably has so many exclusive titles that haven't even been announced yet.

I also noticed that you didn't even include Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and Cry On which are going to be bit hits in Japan and are staying exclusive to the 360.

OKlondon: Gears of War is exclusive to 360. A 360 port to PC doesn't make it "not" exclusive to 360.

There's a lot of things wrong with that statement but I won't waste my time since my class starts in half an hour.

I'm not even sure if he's bringing it to the PC, the way he said it was that it won't be on any other platform other than 360. Though if it does come on PC it's still console exclusive to the 360.

Like what? Microsoft has stated on many an occasion that they have more titles to announce, I'd like you to prove my statement wrong.

Right, the point isn't if he brings it to PC or not though, also I know that it'll still be exclusive. I understand if people don't understand the exclusivity concept because I didn't understand it at all once either.

I was agreeing with you that even if it came to the PC it would still be console exclusive, I knew you knew that.

And that's why I was politely letting you know not to repeat to me what I know.

I don't mean to say "wrong" as in "false" statement. It's that it doesn't matter what they say until they actually reveal those titles.

Well, I wasn't trying to repeat you, I was bringing up the point that it might not even come to PC and thus become totally exclusive.

Video game companies have stated that they have exclusive and non exclusive titles in the works for the 360, it's not just Microsoft stating it.

It's already totally exclusive in business terms which is why it doesn't matter if comes out on PC or not. Both different markets.

Again, you're going in circles, it doesn't matter if they have things in works for 360 until they "SHOW" it. You're arguing like if I was saying that your statement was "false" I never said it was false. I didn't say that MS doesn't have exclusives in the works. I don't think you have to tell anyone that, that's a given.

When I meant totally exclusive, I meant in general, as in it's only on that console (I'm including the PC as a console) when I said that.

Actually my statement was relevant, OKlondon said (or said something like it) that he was worried there wasn't going to be many exclusives for the 360, from what we have heard from Microsoft and game developers there will be plenty of exclusives for the 360. You're acting like those games won't come about until they show it, just because they haven't shown anything doesn't mean it's not going to happen (I'm not saying that you are saying that my statement is false).

Do you know why he was worried? Because the average gamer isn't going to read NEWS. He seems like a casual gamer who doens't know anything about the business side of games. That's why I said your statement was wrong, because even if they have something in works, people in general don't know or don't care, they wanna see pictures, videos.

About your "totally exlusive" whatever it is, you can't count PC as a console. Do you even know what's the difference between them when it comes to making games and why people prefer consoles than PC most of the time when playing games?

It doesn't matter if you were including it because the rest of the world doesn't, still doesn't make your argument valid. Nice try.

If you have any more confusions or self-made concepts, please wait for my arrival after class, thanks in advance.

Actually my statement was relevant, OKlondon said (or said something like it) that he was worried there wasn't going to be many exclusives for the 360, from what we have heard from Microsoft and game developers there will be plenty of exclusives for the 360.

No need to get so bent out of shape with a little discussion..Man, some people can get so fired up in something so tiny as this.

Anyway, I'm not going to argue about something so meaningless but the rest of the world doesn't include the PC with the console? Uh, most casual gamers do include the PC with the console, some people choose a game for the PC over one on the console plus I have gotten into many arguments where people have said that if the PC has it then it's not exclusive to that console, I was arguing that it doesn't matter what the PC has. Nice try for making it seem like the rest of the world doesn't include the PC as a console because most of the world, in my experience, does. It's not like you had an interview with everyone in the world and asked if they considered a game exclusive if it was exclusive on the console but that said game was also on the PC.

If we're talking about the casual gamer then most casual gamers (who are actually casual) won't even know what games are even coming out until the commercials start advertising for them. They won't know what game is coming on what console so this statement is wrong, itself:

Do you know why he was worried? Because the average gamer isn't going to read NEWS. He seems like a casual gamer who doens't know anything about the business side of games. That's why I said your statement was wrong, because even if they have something in works, people in general don't know or don't care, they wanna see pictures, videos.
Remember, casual gamers are just that, casual, they won't know what games are even coming out. They might figure that Halo 3 is coming out (games that obviously get sequels) but besides that they probably won't know anything else.

Some casual gamers could know but most won't so in that sense, I agree my statement is wrong but so is yours, they probably won't know about any game that's coming out until it's advertised.

if a game gets released on PC than it isn't exclusives. People with a good pc wouldn't get a xbox 360 to play the game.

That is the problem with the xbox 360. Since ms makes more money off the PC market they have to support the PC with the xbox games too. So it hard to buy a xbox 360 when you already have a nice PC.

PS3 has game for it that wont come out on ANYthing else. Those are the game that push the console b/c you HAVe to buy a PS3 to play them.

I'm not going to argue with you or anything but I'm just going to have to use your post as an example to Sufi that most people apparently do think that if a game is out for a console (console exclusive) though it is also on a PC, it isn't exclusive.

Right now the 360 has 30 something (more than 30, not less) exclusive titles to the PS3's 20-21 exclusive titles with the 360 coming out with even more as well as the PS3.

    Aren't you generalising?

I prefer consoles over PC and always get the PS2/GC version even if it's available for PC (and no, my PC doesn't suck). The only PC games I bought were Red Alert and Alice (which was PC-only).

You cant really mark Splinter Cell as an exclusive up there though, its coming for the 360 but so are the PS2 and PSP versions, PS3 would eventually get the game if it wasn't a matter of time. I wonder why Blazing Angels is part of them though.

I do also. Heck, the developers even said that Prey runs and looks better on the 360 than it does on a PC though they expect to even it out.

I think he's marking them exclusive next gen wise which SC is exclusive to the 360 next gen wise. PSP is also not getting Double Agent, it is instead getting Splinter Cell Essentials which looks like one awesome and unique game for the PSP.

not really. i was talking about PC gamers. You are not a pc gamer if that is the only PC games you have.

    What are you PC specs?

Edit: Splinter Cell is coming out for PC too.

Well an 360/PS3/Revo player will really only buy 360/PS3/Revo titles just like with PC players.

Now you're just talking about people who's preferred console is PC.

Edit: Splinter Cell is coming out for PC too.
Yes, but gaming console wise it is exclusive to the 360. As said before, PC is a different market plus the 360 is actually getting the better version compared to the PC.

No, i was talking about exclusive games and just giving an example.

WHy don't we say these games are PC exclusives? B/c they are not. Pc is a gaming platform just like the xbox 360.

Contrary to popular belief, most gamers (the majority of these are casuals which make up the gaming community) won't have a high end PC plus they actually prefer the console game versions.

PC gaming is a whole different market compared to gaming consoles. The PC's main function isn't to play games plus most gamers actually get the console version (because most people don't have a high end PC) which is one of the reasons they are considered a different market.

    different markets?

No, however you want to spin that. the fact is a exclusive game is ONLY released on that platform. If you wnat to say console exclusive fine. BUT these games are not true exclusive games.

Which is why games (like Halo 1 for example) have the "only on XBox" icon even though it is also on PC?

It's considered exclusive to the XBox.
