New Socom Map Pack

To bring alot of us back into the socom world and get us excited for socom confrontation there is a new free map pack availiable for download for socom 3 / CA

Im booting up S3 right now.

And the kicker is, the new maps available for download are:

Fishhook, Frostfire, and Guidance

I've only owned the orinial, but have always felt the SOCOM engine would be kick ass online!

This will be good I was a SOCOM fanatic for about 2 years straight of gaming every night. I love going back and playing occasionally getting on with some old clan mates and buddies from the old days, as for so many of them have not updated to the NEXT-GEN of gaming. thanks for the details im gonna grab those and see how good I am now!

Yeah, man. Right when I read this at N4G I threw SOCOM into my PS3 like a ninja star. All the map packs are free now!! I'm downloaded but gosh is it going slow. I want a USB headset now lol.

Hey, do you download the maps straight to the ps3? If so, I'll go right now and repurchase the game.

Yes, Socom 3 has now officially replaced Socom 2 as the best online game ever IMO. I know a lot of people disliked Socom 3 and CA because of the 16 vs 16, vehicles, and extra large maps. In reality, all of that stuff would have been fine if they had left the classic Socom 1 and 2 maps intact.

I went out and bought Socom 3 last night and downloaded all of the maps. They are even better now because you can change all of them to day or night. Also, when you add in the customizable weapons and superior online interface of Socom 3, you have a much better game. This will absolutely hold me over until confrontation.
