Anyone watched Claymore, if so, what did you think of it?
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

Don't look at me, itachi is the only one here with no life.

I watched, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya a few years back followed by the movie recently. I personally feel like it's a cluster of randomness much like Lucky Star. The movie however was quite entertaining, I loved the piano theme at the end.

That only happens when I have days off from school. Currently its summer (school closed) so I can watch all day. Otherwise its impossible to watch more than 3 a day.
Just started watching Ergo Proxy. 3 episodes in and this thing is oozing with quality. everything from the animation to the characters show huge amounts of production value. really interesting.Last edited by itachi73378; 07-27-2012 at 05:58.

I watched 13 episodes of Baccano last night. I must say, I was very pleased with the experience. The thing that got me was the continuous time change, especially the ones that are a year or two apart since it made you lose track of connecting the story in years. This forced me to watch the next episode then the next because I was so eager to find out how the story connected and the conclusion of it all. That psycho killer(Bruno?) and the conductor were epic beyond words!.

Ladd Russo? Guy in the white tuxedo? I always though he was an interesting character. The series to me really isn't about the plot as it is about the characters. I always love Isaac and Miria. Best duo of all time. There are 3 ova you can watch that give a bit more info and conclusion with vino's and chane's little marriage arc.

Yes Russo(So many names to remember in one sitting @_@ ). I also enjoyed Isaac's and Miria's performance in all of this. The anime was dark so it was nice to have those two in there. I'll watch the Ova. Honestly, Vino's and Chane's romance was completely unexpected, especially since they were about to kill each other at first.

It's the age old story. Boy meets girl. Boy and girl try to kill each other. Usual lol. Isaac and miria tied the whole series together for me. Loved the shenanigans they got into. The ova fleshes out the relationship a bit more. You get into Claire/vino/rail tracer's mind a bit to understand and you also learn more about chane who is probably the least defined character due to being mute.

lately its the characters that keep me interested in animes because I have seen similar stories already. Baccano had so many distinct and unique characters!

Indeed it does! Some of them are one of a kind. BTW. I've seen Baccano subbed and dubbed and i can say the dubbed version is fantastic. I know some are purists and won't watch in english, but for me it depends on the quality and series. Considering how the story jumps between two different time periods all the time, it might be easier to understand the plot and character development in english. Its probably the best English dubbing i've seen. Plus they give everybody an appropriate accent so i thought it worked well. Its on netflix so it was great on my big screen in full HD!

I watched it dubbed. If an anime is dubbed I will go for the dub before the sub any day of the week

Purists made sense like a decade ago when the dubbing was terrible on Anime. Now these days the voice acting is great in English. I will even put them above Video game voice acting because of how natural they sound, you can sense their emotions so perfectly.

I'd take original dub most of the time. They just sound cooler lol. But I agree that eng dub is getting good.
