In a post-apocalyptic world human beings have mutated and divided into Sapiens, Alternatives and Hybrids. The Sapiens and Alternatives both battle for control of the Earth’s resources as the Hybrids, a mysterious third race, fight for their very survival. In the PC game, players take on the role of the Sapiens or Alternative. On the Xbox 360™ they enter the game as an elite member of the Hybrid Liberation Organization (HLO), fighting toe-to-toe against the Sapien and Alternative armies to unshackle the oppressed Hybrids.Do you have what it takes to obliterate and dominate the competition? Choose your side, create your character, grab a weapon and get the enemy in your cross-hairs in Huxley!
Features :
- Huxley delivers the excitement and rich gameplay experience of an MMORPG while combining the knuckle-whitening action of an FPS. Players can communicate with each other in a virtual online city, and participate in side battles with the intuitive PvP (player vs. player) system. Everything a character does in the Huxley world directly affects the success of not only the individual, but also of their race and party; from battles to behaviors, all interactions are linked to the survival of a character’s entire race.
- Huxley goes past traditional death match FPS gameplay by challenging players to adapt to new forms of combat to protect the interests of the camp. Servers will be solely dedicated to accommodate millions of users engaged in fast paced, large-scale combat. Players will require strategy and cooperation to achieve victory. Extensive multiplayer battle modes are available each with a variety of unique fighting techniques and special characteristics.
- Huxley has advanced A.I. that rivals other online games. Enemies in Huxley demonstrate remarkable intelligence, which can be used to a player’s advantage or demise. Quests in Huxley will take players on paths of intrigue to uncover conspiracies resulting in confrontations. Each quest is continually updated so players feel as though they are enjoying a new story mode every time they play.
- The characters in Huxley are continuously growing, which is rare in FPS games. Players are able to enhance their own combat styles by obtaining out-of-this-world weapons and new skills, which in turn continuously challenges players to adopt different gameplay styles as they progress.
- Huxley’s gaming action takes form as intense online first person combat mixes with powerful, strategic, PvP elements and high-tech weaponry for adrenaline-pumping extreme gameplay in stunning battle areas.
- The complete console FPS experience, Huxley offers compelling offline gameplay that includes single player campaign missions, sub-missions and practice matches as well as massively multiplayer online play.
- Players will cross over into the online world where they can take on other console and even PC gamers in massively multiplayer battles.

I'm looking forward to when MMOs don't play so stiff. You look at The Agency for the PS3, and it looks so stiff and laggy. Huxley, same deal. I'd almost prefer a downgrade in graphics for these games just to have it run as smooth as butter. Until then I'm not touching The Agency or any other MMO that's coming. Looks pretty for an MMO in screens though.
I think in the end, I prefer more what a game like Fallout 3 is trying to do, and then you don't have the issues that seem to bog down current MMOs.

LOL! I was looking at these screens and wondering wether I loved them or hated them. But if it's an MMO than that's a pretty awesome looking game.

Can you say generic?

I could tell it was using UE3, all their games look the same with the exceptions of a couple.

I'm glad they're updating the unreal engine. The light is the biggest thing imo that looks like crap.

I think UE3 is just plain mediocre. It's become obvious by now that it was designed around textures and nothing else. I'm hoping with this updated version most of the problems will be solved.
Mass Effect and especially Bioshock, really take UE3 and put a great twist on it. I really like the look of those two games, because they don't have that sterile UE3 look that almost every other game using the engine this generation has....with perhaps the exception of Mass Effect's environments, which can at times have that washed-out look.
With that said, I'm still not completely resolved to the idea that this new UE3.5 will make the games look drastically different from the games using the current version of the engine. Unreal Tournament 3 was supposedly using an updated version of the engine and it had the same problems Gears of War and the like suffer from. I also wasn't overly impressed with the UE3.5 demonstration held at GDC this year either.
I believe there are far superior engines out there right now and the only reason some people fail to see that is because the 360, more than the PS3, is saturated with Unreal Engine 3 games. To the best of my knowledge, and if I'm wrong please correct me, Uncharted and Motorstorm use proprietary engines, and I think those two games hit the benchmark of what I expect this generation from video game engines. In other words, they deliver the whole package, not just most of the package.

The subcription killed this game for me, but a lot of people have paid for FFXI on the 360, so some may go for this as well.

Looks better than the last video they released. I think this might have potential but the screens so far don't show a lot of action.
