Full video of Ghost Recon: AW's first level

    Here's the link.....

    http://www.xboxyde.com/news_2601_en.html

You may have problems since they seem to be having server issues when I tried to downlaod it. Must be too many people overloading the server.

I tried to do a direct DL of the HQ (High Quality)version, but no luck. Tried a the LQ (low Quality) version and still no luck. I had to DL the LQ version from Download (new window) (openXBOX360 / US) to be able to get the video. Will get the HQ version when things die down on the servers.

    Nice video even in LQ.

I didn't like hearing this from the guy who uploaded it.....
Not yet, but I'll answer you soon. Anyway, AFAIK, the multiplayer mode uses an upgraded version of GR2 engine, so don't expect the visual excellence of the solo mode.

......but it jives with what my eyes have been seeing of the multiplayer screen shots and videos they've been releasing to us.

I think they said one Ubisoft Team in France was handling the multiplayer part of the game and the Red Storm team here in the USA was doing the single player if I can remember right.

I just didn't know they'd be using to totally different graphics engines for single player and multiplayer modes respectively! That really pisses me off!!!!

I can live with a prettier GR2 engine for online for now, as long as the game is fun and works well. I guess we will have to wait until the next major version that's not a Summit Strike-like expansion pack before we will get the same awesome graphics engine in multiplayer as well.

try the bit torrent link, if you wait a while it will up in downloadspeed, i got the hiquality relatively fast that way. maybe we will get 60 fps in mp mode in relation to 30 fps in solo mode. just a guess don't quote me on that

somehow the video leaves me the impression it was shot in sd resolution. nonetheless it's nice to see the action of the complete first level. still my most wanted game for march...

Yeah ... I have it preordered and paid for. It's still worth it for sure.

I think looking back, there was a ton of clues that the multiplayer uses a different graphics engine then single player.

    1. USA doing single player, France doing multiplayer. Normally this wouldn't be a clue since I've never heard of a game using 2 different engines. Either that, or it's a really scaled back GR3 engine for multiplayer.

    2. Videos and screen shots of multiplayer looked good, just not to the level of Single player. I had been quietly scratching my head for weeks over the multiplayer media they have released and saying to myself..."it looks really good.... but it sure doesn't look Mexico City good. Is it my eyes? Is it just me?" .... well I don't seem to be seeing things. I guess I'm not nuts now.

    3. Multiplayer missions. They never had multiplayer specific missions before. They were always the single player missions played with up to 16 people and just had the enemy counts boosted somewhat.

Also I noticed they've never shown multiplayer videos of them playing on that gorgeous Mexico City level we've seen a million times.

Yes.... it has been removed. They were told by Ubisoft to remove it cuz it was too long and showed too much. Oh well... I got the video. The HQ and the LQ version.

Doesn't really matter though. We will be playing it soon anyways.

I never really looked at it that way.... but based on sunset lit Mexico City level... yeah they do look alike.

But they are totally different. FSW is more like a squad based RTS-type hybrid game where you are basically directing your squad where to go and where to shoot all game.

GRAW is a more traditional shooter with some RTS elements when you instruct your squad to do things.

i think that video was removed mostly because it was based on a still early build from january that lacked hires textures and looked a bit washed out. come on ubi soft give us a demo of this oh so most impressive game

[LIVE]First image of Bad Company 2 reveals cold temperatures

A lot of our readers showed excitement when we revealed that Electronic Arts had confirmed a sequel to their sensational franchise Battlefield. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, we've come across one of the first images for Battlefield Bad Company 2 that should further that anticipation and excitement for the title. While the majority of the first game was played through war torn desert and forestesque territories, it would appear as though a good bulk of Bad Company may play out in colder climates.

"In this instalment, the Bad Company crew again find themselves in the heart of the action, where they must use every weapon and vehicle at their disposal to survive. The action unfolds with unprecedented intensity, introducing a level of fervour to vehicular warfare never before experienced in a modern warfare action game," says EA.

"In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the 'B' company fight their way through snowy mountaintops, dense jungles and dusty villages. With a heavy arsenal of deadly weapons and a slew of vehicles to aid them, the crew set off on their mission and they are ready to blow up, shoot down, blast through, wipe out and utterly destroy anything that gets in their way."

We've included the screenshot below and would love to hear what you guys think.
