Any way to make a hight quality free website?

Anyone know of any way to do this?

I've been scrounging around to make a website for a showcase with all my "artworks."

But I can't find anything that look halfway decent... and I don't want to have to pay for it.

I made a useful topic a long ago, it all depends on your skills with photoshop to make it HIGH quality. If you have any question, or need help with the upload or programming, PM me.

NVU www.nvu.com Is a good program for making really good HTML based sites.

If you are interested in making something graphically impressive though, first use somethign like Fireworks to design your site page then export it as a html template.

There are heaps of different ways to make a good site though.

You could make one on geocities and change its name so it will be someone.tk instead of the long one you type. Go to my.dot.tk

To make my website design, I downloaded a free trial of PaintShop Pro 9 and went from there. Paying for hosting is the best method, but if all else fails find hosts that give away 100MB - 1GB of free hosting and a subdomain name, as long as you comply to some conditions.

As long as a website is original in design and content, no matter how much money is put into it, it will be successful.

EditPad is a good text editor: http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html
It makes use of tabs and those weird blocks which show up on notepad don't show up there.

Thanks for the tips everyone, those are all very helpful. I’m currently a bit busy maintaining our school website with enough content but the plan is to create my own website when I’m done, eventually. I can make use of free homepage privileges received from my internet provider, which let me take up about 50 MB of server space. I think that should be enough to get me started.

    PS3 FAQ clean-up

    http://www.psu.com/PS3-FAQ--a006364-p0.php

I see that either Seb or Kieran posted the PS3 FAQ as an article, which works just fine. However, a lot of the coding doesn't work properly (links to the wrong one), some of the numbers/questions don't match up, and the text needs a lot of editing. I will be going through and cleaning this up over a period of time, as it's a rather large project.
I think PS3 should have a built in memory card!!!

    Re: PS3 FAQ clean-up

    Working on this more today.

    Edit: Edited the introduction.
    Edit 2: "General" section perfected.
    Edit 3: "Controllers" section perfected.
    Edit 4: "Blu-ray" section perfected.
Edit 5: "PlayStation Network (PSN)" section perfected.

Wooooo! Done! Finally, I can forget about this!

    Re: PS3 FAQ clean-up

Ugh, the coding is majorly broken. I've fixed all the numbering and stuff on the surface, but I have to delve into the code and get everything in the right place. With me luck .

I'm giving myself several large edits for this. Altogether, I've spent many hours on it.

    Re: PS3 FAQ clean-up

I've given myself two large edits ($20) for my work on the F.A.Q. One was on the Noby Noby Boy news, the other was on the Pure developer street racing game news.
