Who has actually been turned off by the recent Meryl report?

There has been a lot of harum scarum about the recent Meryl Lynch analysis of Sony PlayStation3, it stated $900 for manufacture, and delays upto and over half a year.

My question is, how many of you have decided to go for a different console because of this?

    Don't answer if you weren't originally buying a PS3.

This analyst wouldn't have turned me off at all. I don't trust anyone who just makes up numbers. I'm little bit turned off because of all silence, which I don't like at all. Right now I'm more interested about 360 games. This may change in E3.

I only care about reports that came from those in the gaming industry. So Meryl Lynch hasn't even made a dent on me to get a PS3.

Personally, one look at the word "analysis" and I just tune out I'm sick and tired of reading all these unofficial "reports". Lame.

About the only effect these reports have had on me is to lower my opinion of Merrill Lynch.

i wasnt turned off at all, not only is it a stupid analyst, but they couldnt even count a few simple numbers. at first they released a list of prices and at the end it said 900$, but if u added up the very simple numbers it only added up to 800$, a few days later they came out and said the made an error. if you make errors adding up numbers like 100+200 then your obviously not someone i can trust. all analyst suuckk in my opinion. only ppl ill believe is sony.

I have a fairly good idea of how much things are going to cost to manufacture based on conversations with IBM, and there is no way Sony are going to pass the costs onto us... its suicide to sell a console at a ridiculous price. Sony PS brand is a big thing, but as Sony showed you can go from top to bottom and nothing to something in a single generation, Sony don't want to lose ergo pheripherals will support the costs but the base unit has to be affordable enough that people can then "grudge" themselves the games and pheripherals... if they don't sell it there is a lot of money going into some one else's pocket.

Not me , it was just another analyst report and for me i'll wait for when Sony decides to launch the PS3 , i have many PS2 games to play now that i have revived my PS2 following steps from a web page on how to fix Disc Read Errors , so PS3 can wait a little more to make sure it is not rushed and to make sure that has enough quality lauch tittles .

Who cares? It was proven to be false and a fat set of bad numbers. So how can one be tuned off by something that is not true at all?
