This is really nothing much at all, so I apologise if it is a waste of your time; but at least it's official. At the bottom it says we should be happy with whatever we can get because the next console won't be coming out for several years. However it was written by the Hilary goldstein of IGN and not by Microsoft, so its just her own opinion, which of course is pretty much as good as ours here on the forums.

Just so you know, Hilary is a guy. His voice sounds like Norm McDonald every time I hear him on a podcast.

IMO, MS should wait until 2011-2012 before unleashing a new console. If it's 2010, then they run the risk of the PS4 having waaaaaay better technology when it hits in 2012. I think they should stay the same course as SONY, and compete with them toe to toe when the time is right.

Technology is advancing at a VERY fast pace, but if MS thinks it's better to get a head start with a soon-to-be obsolete console then they sure can release one in 2010,but even that is a long shot,i don't think any new home console will be released before 2012,since that would be a perfect time for the new xbox since the 360 would have had it's share of the market by then.
