I was rummaging through the TeamXbox.com forums and saw a half life 2 thread and there was pictures of the game being played on a tv with the xbox.. and it has alot of great textures for being on a console and xbox.

Although i probably wont buy it seeing that im holding back this generation and saving for next.. unless there is B/C.. this game looks like a definte rent to me.

It will probably look better than that, thats an old TV and the scans don't look too impressive but I've already got it on PC, hopefully they release it on next-gen consoles.

Actully if you really get down to the niddy griddy, it is possible for PS2 to play it...though it would really be pushing PS2's limits. It just may be possible to run it over a PS2, although it would never go to the PS2.

I saw some fist HL2 pics in my mates xbox mag (not degradeing him but hes a real xbox fan boy) any ways first graphical impressions said to me they were choppy, blocky and looked ike they ues a combo of textures and bitmap (honestly, the lines were jaggerd like MS paint) but they are the first screen shots and they should improve.

If theyr down converting it it won't look anywhere as impressive as the PC version even if they do a good job, they did a good job on the XBox version of Doom 3 but it looks horrible compared to the PC version regardless.

The xbox verison would do what better than the PC version, are they including new things or something, I don't see how Xbox could pull off the same game better than PC's unless I'm missing something

I remember watching an Interview with a few people who were working on this project, (IGN, or somewhere.) and I found that during the footage they've shown, during some action sequences, the game really starts to get slow and chops up a little. That's really a neusance. But it isn't the final product so hopefully it'll be fixed.

Let me rephrases this Half life two is going to disappoint mainly because of the lack of online support. Usually FPS fans on xbox flock to game to game if the game warrants it. it almost like your guaranteed to get about a third of the xbox live users to buy your game if the game has a killer multiplayer. But if the game doesn't have a good multiplayer, Word will about that game not having a good multiplayer over xbox live. A big a example of this is Doom 3. When a FPS of this magnitude come out it almost guaranteed to sell at least ok. But word spread over xbox live that doom 3 only had 4 on 4 multiplayer, which completely unacceptable. The only game that can pull off such a small number of players in the multiplayer is splinter cell, and the main gripe with it is that its only two on two. If you look at xbox.com rankings of the amount of users Doom 3 is behind all the major game on the xbox. Splintercell, Ghost recon2, Rainbow six 3 : Black arrow, and Halo2. I expect the same effect on Half life 2. but it might hurt it even more because it does even have a multiplayer. Do get me wrong Half life 2 might sell a lot of units, but i t could be so much better if it included a killer multiplayer

[LIVE]Rumour Mill: PS3 Losses Tekken 6 Exclusive
I’m sure many of you will be getting sick of news about the PlayStation 3 losing exclusives, this one is just a rumour for now but we think you should know about it. It looks like Tekken 6 will be the next game to leave the PS3 exclusive list as Namco seems to be planning on launching it for the Xbox 360.
These reports sparked from an IGN inside source who reports that Namco is looking to release Tekken 6 for the Xbox 360 in winter 2007.
There hasn’t been an official confirmation made from the three companies involved in this rumor (Sony, Namco and Microsoft) but we’ll be trying to contact them to see if we can get a statement to hopefully crush these rumors. If it’s true, expect to see many gutted PS3 fans while the 360 ones will be rejoicing.
