E3 2008: Duke Nukem Forever not appearing at E3

Duke Nukem Forever Not Showing at E3

Just in case you were wondering, 3D Realms' long in development first-person-shooter -- Duke Nukem Forever, will not be showcased at E3 this year. No huge shock but inquiring minds wanted to know!
Yeah, I'm pretty teary, but how much effort does it take to show off a couple levels?

I actually thought they would show it this year.

    Once more into the fray.
Into the last good fight I'll ever know.

But it just might! IT JUST MIGHT!

I would laugh if they slapped a release date on it at e3

Maybe they are waiting for Guns n Roses to do the soundtrack for it...

The game seems to be deep in development if you can believe the reporting at Shacknews recently. They should put something together and show it at E3.

The strength of this franchise is the character and its humorous perspective on America. That's it. They could have developed two sequels by now. It seems like they are too concerned with the graphics and underlying technology. I don't care that Duke3D had the first maps that featured rooms on top of rooms. I liked the dancers! Just give me more. With Duke. And some pigs, guns, and aliens.

We only think it exists. Really that was all a CGI mock-up and what they hope the game will look like when it's complete... in 20 years.

I would have been really surprised to see this at E3.
