    could be quite awsome.
I cant imagine them not putting a sorc!! Metaorbs pretty much made Diablo 2 its a must they have sorcessors in the game, maybe not the same name, but the witch doctor is meant to be based around the necromancer so there needs to be a class that covers the elements.

sorcerer, ranger and warrior were the old classes of diablo, i see the barbarian who covers the warrior and also already has some paladin skills like charge. a sorcerer of some kind is expected as much as some ranger type. so there is one place left for an interesting addition like the witch doctor. maybe we will see some kind of a healer type guy ?
When it comes to porting Final Fantasy XIII to Xbox 360, Square's of the opinion that it's not the size of the disc that matters; it's how you use it.

I personally want a class that does physical ranged damage aka bow expert. It would be cool if i could put spells or enchants on my arrows so i can stun or slow down enemies from afar to help out the melee characters etc. If thats a ranger please gimmie gimmie gimmie.

Healer type would be a paladin, maybe they would make a monk or something. We have to wait and see, but the classes wont change that much I dont think.

Oh nice article forgot about a rogue character, hopefully we can get a stealth character maybe blend that into a ranged character something like an assassin with flying daggers.

I hope a samurai is a character class. I've always thought that Diablo would do well to inject a bit of far eastern swordplay into the mix. The Assassin was a step in the right direction...just not a big enough step.

Possibly but they want something to close to the barbarian, possibly a character like the blademaster from warcraft 3, a character that uses illusions or something along this line.

that was a pretty good read. I like what he said about battle.net being really important to get right this time. Way too much hacking going on before, and I hope they are able to do something about it this time around.

Its not primarily an online game, but a major experience of the game is online, ladder games and also co-op.

I would pay a monthy fee for a more secure B-net, maybe that is what that will happen eventually, the open bnet as it is today will become the ladder one, and a new "less casual" option will arise with 10 bucks as monthly fee with more features etc...

Just watched the gameplay, looks amazing buy only 5 classes? I was expecting around 9-10. I guess they have to leave room for 3-4 inevitable expansions.

Hehe nice line in your sig Xelis
blizzard usually plan ahead even if they don't want to admit it, most of thier game comes with 1 expansion in it's life time until they move to the next franchise, but they have grown since diablo 2, and they focus on more then one thing at once these days so its hard to know.

diablo 2 had 5 classes when released, and the expansion came with 2 new classes, i expect something similar here, considering all the different specs/builds that were aval in the first one 5 classes were more then enough in my opinion, 1 class had like 2-3 different ways to be played, which made it a totaly different expirience to level and group with that class.

    I added a Gamesradar article about diablo3.

Nuvian can add these little bits of info:

    Diablo III Tidbits
Tidbits of Diablo 3, straight from Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational, via Ve3d. Right after the jump:

No release date as of yet.
Development in its “early stages” despite being underway for over four years.
Brand new in-house engine developed for Diablo III. Includes Havoc physics.
Co-op is fully integrated into the game’s design.
Will also be released on Mac.
Similar in length to Diablo II.
Takes place twenty years after Diablo II expansion pack.
Only fifty people working on the game at the moment. Content creation the current focus.
New Battle.net will debut with StarCraft II. Even more features by the time Diablo III launches.
No console release of Diablo III planned. Other Blizzard title staying on PC and Mac also.
Pay to play? Totally undecided, though it could vary between regions. For example, China may because of the popularity of internet cafes and the strict gaming laws that are meant to prevent people becoming addicted.
Could be up to 100 enemies on-screen at a time.
The ice splash page malarkey was Diablo all along, ditto on the eyes. I am vindicated. The penguin remains a mystery, however.
Hellgate: London-esque randomness is in, to an extent. Some maps and what have yous will be static.
Low-spec [computer] losers are being catered to.
World of Warcraft and The Legend of Zelda heavily influenced boss design and boss gameplay mechanics.
E-Sports support is a possibility. Team is attempting to form a business plan that works for that crowd.
No character customisation, just gender selection.
PvP will likely be included at release.
    Voice communication will be improved.
    Beta is a possibility.
“Potions are still in the game, they’re just not as core an element. So there’s a new health system here. Wilson says he actually tried a Halo-style shield system with regenerative health, but didn’t put that in because it encouraged players to leave combat. Didn’t want to implement a WoW-style health which encourages players to drink and creates downtime when out of combat. Wilson wants the health system to ensure combat, which is health globes were implemented.”
One health pot restores all players in co-op.
Enemies can miss and get weapons stuck in scenery or world.
Player characters will be fully voice acted.
    Four-to-five person co-op groups.
Respecs are likely to be included.
    http://blizzardguru.com/2008/06/diablo-iii-tidbits/

Some really interesting info was hoping for the game to be longer than Diablo 2 but the same length is good enough, really want to see the enemies getting the weapons stuck in the environment should be really interesting.
