I'm downloading it now. I think it's pretty legit, the only problem is that it could probably go offline any moment if it was just a mistake on Battlenet.

Forget it! it was indeed a mistake and it is now DOWN! anyone who downloaded it are getting disconnected

Open beta starts Friday (today) through the weekend for a stress test. Valid battle.net account required.

We're pleased to announce the Diablo III open beta weekend, which offers open access to all players with a valid Battle.net account! Beginning this Friday everyone is invited to log in and help us put the game and servers through their paces in this three day stress test as we march toward the game's release on May 15. You can begin downloading the Diablo III client right now!
From Friday, April 20 at 12:01 p.m. PDT (noon), until Monday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. PDT you'll be able to log in, team up with friends, and play each of the five heroic classes to level 13 as you fight to save the world from the impending demonic invasion.

Ahhhrgh, can't login...
I keep getting the message "Connection interrupted 3003".
When i want to get into the US realm i get either code 3005 or "There is no D3 code connected to your BNet account"!

Bummer, guess there are too many people trying to get in atm!?

Edit: Ahh forget it, just read that i'll have to wait 2 more hours till the servers are online.

Ah, nice to hear the beta will be open this weekend. I am glad I held onto the beta that I downloaded a few days ago when they accidentally let it out in the open. So all I gotta do is wait but less than 2 hours and i can get started.

ugh, for some reason, my desktop wouldn't get past the updating setup files section lol. both laptops are primed and ready. installing in on pc now after a complete format and reinstall of windows lol. yes, it's that important.

Yeah, I keep getting the server busy message myself. Oh well. Even if you get on, I doubt it'll be much fun playing with all the lag, etc. associated with stress tests.

I can live with lag, i don't even want to play long this night, i just want to know if my old notebook with a core 2 duo processor and a radeon 4650 graphicscard can handle the game.

Thats the reason i'm downloading this beta now, it'd be nice to see if I can play my free copy when it launches.
