Aight i've been able to login today and killed the skeleton king right away.
The game runs pretty good on my lousy notebook on med details - epic win.

Played this for an hour and a bit this morning, oh god I wish I could stay in bed and play some more!
May 15th can't roll along quickly enough. I'll be going back on when i've done with some work.

Playing Open Beta right now and it rocks so far. The game has definitely the magic "its a Blizzard game" touch. But my 5-year old pc has some serious troubles when more then 10 enemies are at the screen at once ;/
Still day one buy for me

Lowering shadows makes a huge difference for FPS without it taking too much of a graphic hit. but the game does rock! I can definitely see this game being played like crazy as the D2:LoD

The beta was amazing. Definitely cleared up any second thoughts that I might have had. I didn't get to play as long as I wanted to with real life getting in the way but from what I played of it, it is definitely a day one purchase for me.

Gah still can't decide!
-don't play DIII at all (worst option)
-play on my old notebook (on med details)
-buy a new notebook
-buy a X51 for the living room and play on the 37" TV *or play on the 50" TV thats usually reserved for PS3
-wait for the PS3 version (WAIT is the keyword here)

Dafuq should i do, this game will ruin my life

P.S. this post was inspired by the video of the witchdoc which contains some pretty sweet effects
and mass annihilation moves which i would like to enjoy in max details and as fluid as possible.

You will have to wait at least a year for the PS3 version, i would get a new PC

Medium settings don't look bad in a game like Diablo 3 though.

I think i'll be reasonable for a change and just play it on my old NB.
I'm going to take my sweet time and finish the game solo on the first run.

MP is too hectic, i didn't even have time to look at the landscape and enemies properly when i played the beta

It came from a translation from an interview you did recently. It basically says that you said "before 2013".
before 2013 is what I said. I also said I hoped it was 'way' before the end of the year.

I'd rather they do it well then just rushing it out.

The Story and Followers
- Characters and followers have different dialogue options. If you choose to play alongside the Templar with your Barbarian you'll get entirely different dialogue than what you'd get with the Demon Hunter for example.
- The story is worth hearing again with the different classes.
- Lots of wit and humor in follower dialogue.
- If I'm playing with the female Wizard and the Scoundrel their dialogue has me laughing half the time. I'm sitting and killing monsters and laughing at the banther between them.
- You first encounter the Scoundrel on a farm trying to pick up the farmer's daughter. There's a lot of innuendo with him.

Enemies
- Enemies have a lot of different abilities and are placed in scenarios specifically to pose a challenge to different classes.
- Situations in the game call for different abilities. It's encouraged to swap skills every now and again.

Beta vs Live
- The Beta is just the intro. We're controlling and steering players, teaching game mechanics. Once you get past the Skelleton King the world opens up.

PVP
- Because of the randomness of the game it's very difficult to balance. The focus was on PVE and we wanted to make it right. But we're finishing PVP, it's not going to be a long wait. We want to get it right. It'll be out shortly after launch.

Console
We have a console team which is actively in "research and development" mode. The current consoles, we feel, are very viable for Diablo 3. But we're not just going to port it over. We're trying to figure out, if we're going to put it on a console, how do we change it so that it feels like a console game and not a PC game that was put on a console. But there will be no announcements until we figure out how to do it. We have amazing talent on the team and I'm already seeing things that got me very excited. It looks very promising.
