Official Diablo 3 Thread - Its Finally Here!

I almost died last night lol. I was down to 12 life lol, and running like hell away from a rare spider monster that fucked me up lol. I ran until my potion was usable, then got revenge hehe. So, lvl 11 in hardcore right now. Just about to go to Act 2.

Same exact thing happened when my and my friend were fighting the Spider Queen. He died when she had about 150,000 Vitality left. I stunned her so I could get away and heal. Once stun cooled down I went over to stun and hack away the rest well...poison fucked me up. Basically just had to run and hit for about 4000-5000 until she was dead. Just got by but I'm not on Hardcore. It was really just the first time I was really clutch in the game because I'm not very good with PC gaming.

I updated to the latest drivers, still no help. Then I even forced older driver versions to see if that would cure the problem still no luck.

I really don't know. One of you components could just not be functioning properly but still works. I know usually when PC stuff quits working right it's usually done. But there is absolutely no reason your system shouldn't play it. Really sucks man.

Edit: Nevermind. I see where you said you talked to Blizzard.

I can play many other games to their full potential, but the machine only works like crap when I load up Diablo 3. Any other game is PERFECT! It is pissing me off beyond words, and there appears to be no immediate fix for it other than Blizzard releasing a patch to fix the issue with this particular model of video card. There are countless threads on their official Diablo forums of angry gamers like myself experiencing the exact same problem.

Don't get me wrong I like D3 up to the point where I'm at but Blizzard is definitely a former shell of what they used to be. All started to go down hill with the Activision merger. Go figure.

Have you tried using vsync? turned the settings down on medium? what resolution is it?

I just remembered my pc has a GTX 460 from EVGA, it uses an AMD 5000+ dual core cpu, 6GB of some old DDR2 RAM. It plays the game perfectly.

i heard there was a 'starter edition' or trial on this game, but i can't seem to see one on battle.net. £45 seems a little steep without trying it first.

if there isn't one, does anyone have a guest pass at all please? if they still work that is....

I hate having to gather more gear lol. I started a barbarian, softcore, and I'm suffering badly knowing I don't have much gear for him. After playing so many hours already, it's tedious to say the the least.

I hate using the AH all the time.

Sold the ina's helm for 350k lol it was pretty useless.

The problem with D3 is that Blizz really made a Pay2Win game like any other free MMO out there. If u compare the rates with D2 then u have 2 completely different games. RMAH was a smart move from Blizz but that the rates and items suffering because of that is almost a shame. However i still have 300h played time with my barbarian and defeated yesterday Diablo on Inferno so the game must have something that keep u playing ^^

WOW! I am now lvl 27 with my barb I started yesterday evening, and I've found a few things that are going to work in normal lol.

No you start from scratch if you swap the realm.

Got 3 chars on lvl 60 now and found a rune sword 1h with 840dps 230int and 290 vit today... shame that it doesn't have additianal %dmg then it whould be gosu
it's pretty neat but i'm still looking for a 1hander with 1k dps+

I'm too stingy to just buy one

Level 49 now. I don't get much time to play these days, but slowly climbing up to 60. My DPS is now over 2200, and I have no idea if that is good or not for a level 49 Barbarian. Comparisons?
