Screens look good for this game, may try the demo if one does come out...
SOURCEAlthough the game is still a ways away from its fall release, we've got the list of the next six Superstars that you'll be taking through the latest and greatest THQ brawler. Triple H, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, Batista, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, and The Miz will all enter the virtual squared circle this year.
Although the majority of those six competitors were in last year's title, SVR '09 marks the first WWE videogame appearance for The Miz -- who makes up the current WWE Tag Team Champions with Morrison. This year's game will be tag team-focused according to THQ, so the inclusion of the chick magnet and the Shaman of Sexy mark an important first step in establishing a doubles roster that has been lacking in recent years. The SmackDown six join a previously announced roster of Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton, Mr. Kennedy, Undertaker, and John Cena.

WWE SmackDown vs Raw 09 Roster Update + New Screens...
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

Man I just realized that I haven't played a wrestling game since the NES version of Pro Wrestling. That was such a fun game.

I'm eagerly awaiting this title. SvR08 was kind of a letdown and hopefully this one will be much, much better. I do hate the controls for the game though and really prefer the controls for the older games in the series. I at least wish they'd make that an option. The other huge gripe I have is the aiming. I want to be able to switch who I'm looking at regardless if it's my partner or my opponent.

Oddly enough I just started playing SVR '07 again.
If there is one thing I hope for this game, it's that they can finally animate a championship belt, and make it look decent. And keep the females absent from the game. I'm not a sexist or anything, but they're kind of useless in the video game.An optimist thinks that this is the best of all possible worlds.
A pessimist fears this is so.

I haven't played a wrestling game since SvR 2007. I'll wait for some reviews before I decide to get this game or not.
Also i'm just curious, was 08 that bad?

Well, it was pretty bad. The controls were what really got to me as they seemed to have oversimplified them and I like the older version. Also, collision was pretty poor, especially when fighting smaller wrestlers like Rey Mysterio. You wouldn't actually touch them half the time and it looked more like you were using the force from Star Wars to grab them and throw them. Tag team moves were almost nonexistent as well and that's one of the main things they are working on for 09.

These games get really boring and repetitive. And I dont really like Tag-Team anyway.
