    Rock-solid wireless PS3 connection?

Just do the poll only if you have a rock solid connection all the time. Just the make.
I have a netgear DG834PN and having problems.
Also, if you are on Plus.net please reply below!

Using the D-link xtreme N, and it works great. The router is about 30 feet away and the signal goes through one wall.

I have a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless-N Extreme (PC is wireless N) and I have never had problems with it. I used to have a Linksys WRT54G and I didn't seem to like my PS3... so I had to switch.

I have a Linksys router and it's anything but rock-solid!

EDIT: I'm thinking of getting a D-Link router, from what I've read here and in some other sites, they're very good for consoles. I'm I wrong?

    you are VERY wrong

stick with your linksys. especially if its a WRT model

flash DD-WRT custom firmware and you're set.

Out of 4 routers ive tried (some of the new N's even), the linksys Ive stuck with so far has been the most reliable (however, it IS customer firmware, original one sucks)

I have an WRT160N, can you tell me where I can find these custom firmwares? And do they mess up my router?

Have had netgear and linksys, they were great. Have bt home hub now, it's awful. The software is full of bugs (If I set up ps3 ports section, it renames it to Wii?!), it disconnects all the time for no reason, the wifi signal isn't great...

I have a Netgear DG834N, I don't get rock solid wireless connection. The router is too far away to have a wired connection. I have to admit that the connection is very good when playing MGO, the connection has only dropped twice and ive played 11 hours of it.

My Trendnet wireless N router gives me 100% signal all the time.

Common sense isn't all that common.

I have a Linksys WRT610N and barely notice a difference between wireless and wired for games. However streaming media over wireless sucks, it'll be fine for a while then sound will drop out, then I'll get an error on the PS3. Need wired for it to work properly.
