I'm not familiar with how E3 is done, is a pre-E3 press conference normal or is this something special Microsoft have done to announce something potentially big?

The big 3 all do Pre-E3 conferences to show off their new hardware/games/etc.

They usually show off some current and new games but any major announcements are announce during their keynote. My question is, when are the keynotes?!

During E3 there's loads of private meetings/showcases.

Also there's the main show floor where Press/Media can try out games to report on.

Other companies like Konami/Square Enix/EA hold their own conferences showing off their new games.

All i remember about any of last year's E3 is Sony talking through their HOME avatars, and Killzone2. Oh and Nintendo doing almost an entire show on WiiFit.

Not much of MS comes to mind though.

Jeff Bell doesn't work for Microsoft anymore. He left last month.

Aaron Greenberg is an option i suppose but the guy spends more time talking about SONY and Nintendo than he does about XBOX.
