Yeah. I was playing Domination... got murked. Played S&D... got murked. I am not sure as to why I suck so bad. I play Metal Gear Online on a daily basis (more than CoD4), but when I head on to CoD4... I suck so bad it's not even funny. I used to be a phenomenal player at CoD4 (25000 kills and 12000 deaths on the PS3... I'm a lvl 55 gold cross on PS3) but now, my skills have deterioriated to almost nothing. Should I just continue playing Metal Gear Online? Because in all honesty, I haven't ANY intention on really focusing much skill into CoD4....

I know how you feel. I play Battlefield Bad Company regularly now since its release so I'm used to that. But the other day I decided to venture back onto COD4 online (per friends request) and I felt completely overwhelmed. The controls felt twitchy (I always keep the move speed on medium), my character felt like he was moving at 200 MPH, it was an unforgettable experience. I played one round of TDM and I finished with 3 kills and 14 deaths. It was one and done for me after that. I haven't bothered to play it since, and that was a week ago.
My stats aren't as impressive as yours (1.21 KDR, Prestige level 1), SP, but I wasn't a bad player. It happens to the best of us, though.

It's really something that you have to keep at in order to be good at. I don't know what it is about the game, but... it really requires a lot of time spent with it. I think it is just because I am utilizing two DIFFERENT control schemes from two very different systems, and trying to get used to both of them at the same time when they are just TOO different (one's an FPS and the other is a 3PS.... very, very different).
I am probably just going to stop playing CoD4 for the Xbox 360 altogether and just focus all of my skill into Metal Gear Online, because that is what I really take pride in playing.
Christmas is the first time that I had played an Xbox 360 avidly... so I think that may be a contribution to the problems with the controls. I've always been a Sony fan, moreso than any other consoles... so, yup.

Maybe people are better now, and maybe you got out of your "groove" from playing MGO.I know when I go from CoD4 to Resistance again, it takes me awhile to get back into the controls. I stop shooting at people after 20 bullets at 1st and keep trying to zoom in alittle with the carbine and it takes me forever to figure out how to run lol.

Yeah I have exactly the same problem bought COD4 on release played for a few months had a decent K/D ratio like 18000 kills and 8000 deaths. I have tried going back on occassionally and end up with my head on a silver platter.

Im a shadow of my former COD4 playing self.
