    Viva Pinata Promo Video

I know there's a thread, but this video was so good that I had to post a thread :P

Video: http://www.4kids.tv/vivapinata/video.php The voice acting is REALLY good, and funny.

And it talks a little bit about the game.

Hopefully this hasn't been posted already.

Nice video...up to one point I was thinking...why did they do this for? Then when it shows some game footage...I thought ahhh ok...

I guess I can see where this is heading...it's a good idea in terms of trying to get younger gamers in. It definately has potential...

My favourite part of the commentary:

...."Get your Pinata to grow. Change. AND FIGHT! ....."
There's a whole new genre of gaming right there. PINATA FIGTING!! I think the game definetely has potential. I could see how the bright colours and goofy looking characters may come across as childesh, but from the looks of the video, and the "game facts" I've read, this game sounds like it's a lot deeper than what the surface might suggest. Living, breathing worlds. Growing and evolving characters? Sounds pretty good to me.

I love the graphic's and yeah, the voice acting is done really well too.

I have high hopes for this game. It is, afterall, made by RARE and I don't remember them EVER making a bad game.

Definetely looking forward to this. Thanks for the video!

Haha... Indeed very funny and entertaining for the kids. (Ok, I also laughed )

The good thing is that the whole idea of a cartoon and game made out of piñatas sounds like a great idea for a new franchise. I don't see how could possibly a kid resist watching this.

Edit: I've been thinking about it and I must say that this is a brillian marketing strategy from Microsoft by creating a new franchise with all the merchandising involved and also creating a game based on it. This might end up working better than Pokèmon since it is a cartoon created thinking in a videogame and not viceversa.

Well, I don't think this is something just to appeal to kids. This game is going to be such a hit in the Asian market. Especially in places like Japan, HongKong, etc..

This game looks like its for kids but I'm sure many girls will love this game too. At least my girlfriend might love this one. It would be first Xbox-game she would love...

    [LIVE]PS3 success in Japan continues

The latest Media Create data has revealed that the PlayStation 3 trumped Nintendo’s Wii in Japan for the second month running, becoming the best selling home console in the territory for the period February – March 2009.

Sony’s black behemoth sold 87,000 units in February compared to the Wii’s 76,000, with March sales figures putting the console at an impressive 116,000 units sold, beating out the Wii at 70,000.

PS3 sales have largely been driven by heavy hitters such as Yakuza 3 and Resident Evil 5, with the latter having shifted almost 430,000 units in Japan since its launch on March 5.
