I'd like to know why I show that I have 1 unread Private Message, when I DO NOT have any Pm's that aren't read. I see a "1" when I roll my mouse up to the "Profile" button and the drop-down menu comes down. Beside "Inbox" it shows 1 Unread...but I do NOT have anything that hasn't been read, or any receipts either. (Screenshot below)

Do you have any unread VM's?

Click this and let me know if goes away after you have done so.

Nope, didn't have any unread VM's, and it didn't go away. I'm going to log out completely, clear cookies, then log back in and see if that rids me of the "1".




*EDIT*

Log-out and clear of ALL cookies didn't solve it either. Still got the *1* in the drop-down menu.

When I visit jonathanm1978 profile I can't send or read VM's there so I think he has a VM that he didn't read and then somehow VM's got disabled. So go to your settings and check if you have VM's enabled.

He has vm's enabled, but it is limited to contacts and moderators only.

Nah, not likely.

Like you saw for yourself, if you're not on his contact list then you just can't post one.

Yeah but what if he did not have any restrictions and got a VM from a person that's not on the list and did not read it and set the setting? Its far fetched but you never know.

Trust me tut, it isn't that, there are no vm's there.

yeah, it's not that. If I had a VM, i would've received at the least, an email saying I got a new VM here..but I've gotten no such emails. I'll try turning on / off different aspects of my profile to see if that has any effect, but I think it's just a glitch. I just showed up like, 2 days ago or so.

Yep but that takes me to an even more basic reply option there's nothing apart from text!

Go to your User CP, click 'General Settings' on the left side of the screen. Scroll down to the bottom and there should be an option to choose what kind of forum post editor you want - what setting is it set to?

I've just changed it to the advanced one for him, see if that helps.
