Do you think Madden 09 will be "not up to par" again?

It saddens me that the ps3 version of madden 09 will probably not be up to par with the 360 version after comparing the demos of NCAA 09.

I do have a 360, but my friend I always used to play madden with on the ps2 has only a ps3, and I would love to buy it for the ps3, but after last years buttdumpling of a game, im afraid to buy it for the ps3.

this year, there supposed to be the same...says EA. the only difference will eb the achievements, we'll see tho

I heard the PS3 demo for NCAA was a slightly earlier build than the 360 demo, that's why the discrepancy (which is marginal anyway) is there. Everything else (community day impressions, etc.) suggest that the final builds will be identical, with maybe some better colors/lighting on the 360 version, but no difference in gameplay.

Take that for what it's worth, though. We'll find out for sure soon enough.

Even though i have both systems, i really hope that it is the same or better on ps3 because thats the system i prefer to play ncaa and madden on...what happened to the talk last year about how the ps3 would be the lead system for these games and then ported to 360?? I havent heard any news about that since 2007...

Don't quote me, but didn't EA say they changed the lead platform to be the PS3? I dont know, I'm probably wrong..

But, this years Madden actually looks good. Hopefully EA will turn the series around.

As of now I'm just picking up NCAA 09, haven't played a college football game in a while. Will wait to see if Madden 09 is any different then in the past.

I think this will be THE Madden game we've been waiting for since this gen started. I like how EA seemingly worked hard to finally deliver a good football game. I'm sure Peter Moore kicked @ss and took names during the development cycle to ensure Madden 09 would shine. Can't wait til August 12th.
