Is there a way to look up trade in value?

i'm thinking of trading in a couple games, either to ebgames or gamestop. is there a way to look up online what i'd get for them? i went to their websites but didn't see anything.

You won't get much for them if you trade them at game shops AFAIK. You could try looking at the prices on ebay for used versions of those games. You might even be better off selling them on ebay...

you can call and ask. what games are they. i tried to sell a brand new not open just released game to them and the most they would give is 20 bucks, major rip off. sell them to someone yourself not a store.

If you have a credit card, I'd really recommend trying to sell on ebay instead.

EB games and Gamestop are jerks when it comes to trade ins. They won't let you see the values of any old game, you only can know the prices of the games you bring in. It sucks cuz you won't be able to plan which games you want to sell based on play time versus price.

I traded there once when i bought Shadow of the collosus, never will again

I was used tot he store a used to trade at, a small local video games store( if you have a small shop around ask there first)
Where i used to get 10-30 per game. I traded there all the time, must have went through at least 300 games there through trading.

Went to EB games
traded in a few games, all had the boxes, all books ect in mint condition.
Socom 1 with the mic
socom2
GTA vice city
Final fantasy 8

I figured i could get around 40-50 for all of it, then i had another 50or so bucks in cash, was going to grab SOTC and burnout revenge.

well she added the games up and said,........you will get 12 bucks for all these

6 bucks for FFX
2 bucks for the other games

EEK!

I could see that if the sold ther used games for cheap, but EB games used gmaes are hella expensive! like 5-10 bucks less than a new game.

well its just store order its not htey are jerks, i have freinds there some here on the site that are preaty cool its just some thing they gotta follow. anyways i remember my first and last time i did it, sold it to them for 10 bucks went back and they were selling it for 35 bucks. made me mad.

socom 3 mabe 20 bucks or 30 bucks from store and ebay mabe full price back.
fightnight is a little old so you may get mabe 20 bucks.
battlefeild will sell really well inline cant really say its a popular game right now, mabe full price too.
anyways im jusst estimating what you would get i can be way off or exact.

my bad but i still dont think you have a chance of getting full price as its not that much of a demand right now. the other two are just really popular. o and about battlefeild i tried to sell mine to gamestop brand new and the most they would give me is 30 bucks so that a fact for you there.

not much at all. ive heard a xbox can get you more but now that 360 is out htye are probably about even in value. i heard they give 50 to 70 bucks on the systems if that. again try ebay or sell it yourslf to someone, easily can be sold for 100 to 130 bucks thinking new ones cost around 150. again estimates just estimates. best thing to do is call and find out.

If you're just looking for their base value, try amazon.com and you can get a general idea of their used-game value.
To sell, I agree with the others here and strongly recommend Ebay. It's a pain to get established if you don't have an account, but I've been selling used games on it for a while now and there's a huge demand. Plus, when you list them , you'll get a quote of the game's average starting price, shipping cost, and winning price. Seriously, go for it.

what ever you do dont give games to ebgames they suck at knowing what to price ....i bought MGS3 and then beat it like 3 days later then tried sold it (yeah i know i should of rented it first but hey i wanted it) and they game me $15 so i said f that they are gay lol

i would never trade in at any game shop..its a ripoff..just by the way...what would 2 ps2s(not slim), 40 games, and three controllers(two wired and one wireless) get me on ebay? ive been meaning to sell it for ps3 but havent had the time lately
