I have said it in the past, will say it again. The percentage is a ridiculous judge of how well it sells. If they sold 50,000 360s last week, and this week another 50,000 then Amazon would report a 0% increase. If they sold 1 last week and 616 this week (made up numbers of course) there is your 616% increase. The numbers mean nothing.

Case in point, the FragFX showed a 14,414% increase in sales one day... I looked. It had sold ONE unit in two weeks. This was a long time ago, so I couldn't find the link.

Haha, those Japanese guys will regret that move if they bought it for FFXIII. The Xbox 360 isn't getting a FFXIII release in Japan, Nor are they getting FFVersusXIII anywhere in the world.

I love it how people are like "this is ********" and "who cares about statistics", when every ****ing time sales for the PS3 increase by .0005% in country in some obscure country, where sales mean nothing, people cream themselves and go ape ****.

Especially on Amazon. Amazon only reports a % increase in sales, not the actual sales number.

I agree. If japan has started to buy more 360s because of the release of ff 13 we must not know something. I never understood why the game has gone multi platform and not there. Wouldnt the makers get a greater profit that way?

It's not being released in Japan for the same reason it's being released in NA/EU.

Bit of an exaggeration. I've yet to see a thread close to anything like that. Also, I don't see any of those quotes anywhere in this thread. Anyway, it's common knowledge that the 360 has extremely low sales in Japan, so people are right to ridicule a reported "616% increase".
