For those who think they got a bargain on "Saints Row 2" from Tesco, at £15.97, I guess the term "I told you so" comes to mind. They have cancelled the orders:
I'm putting a serious complaint about this - not because they cancelled the order (as I expected it), but because they have lied about the reason why. They claim they cannot obtain the game. If that's the case, then technically, they should not be advertising it or accepting orders right now, but they are. I got the same standard email saying they can't honour the order as they cannot obtain the game. I have emailed them back to ask that they complete my order as they still have the item for sale. If they had admitted a mistake then fair enough but to lie about it is out of order.

What I might do is re-order it, then get it delivered. Once I have the game in my hand, along with their delivery note, I will write to their Customer Services Manager and ask how they were able to send me a copy of the game when they told me they could not obtain it. Originally Posted by no1kevlin

The payments will take anything up to 5 days to reappear. Standard bank processing time.
Now, you could do worse to contact Trading Standards. I'd have tried to argue since they accepted payment that the contract was formed. The only issue is there site suggests they can cancel up to the dispatch point. Not sure if this affects your statutory rights.
Still, threaten small claims and they might offer the cheaper price to avoid court costs.

got some good news for a change. play.com are selling GTA IV for £19.99. and this is legit.
I've already go the game, but anybody who doesn't even if they were not planning to £20 for a new game is a good deal.
