Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, others all in one game.
Snowblind Studios may already be receiving acclaim for their work on next-generation work on comic book-based The Darkness, but they haven't left the current consoles behind just yet; there's some comic action yet to be tapped.
Today at the GDC, they revealed a deal with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to release Justice League Heroes on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PSP this fall based on an original story from animation and comic writer Dwayne McDuffie of Static Shock, Justice League, Teen Titans, Damage Control and Deathlok fame.
What makes Justice League so much different from other series is the mass inclusion of so many comic icons. "This is a real opportunity to bring the celebrated characters to life in dynamic gameplay, showcasing their individual powers and their incredible capabilities working as a team," says Snowblind designer Paul Knutzen.
Based on the brief description released, Justice League Heroes' gameplay will end up similar to Activision's X-Men Legends. So far, we know Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter and Zatanna (but more are promised) will all be playable in the game with unique powers and fighting styles.
This is great news for the fans.

Blah, I wasn't big on X-Men Legends gameplay/Fantastic Four...they should just innovate something new really, something that has deep gameplay. Something like a 3D Side-Scroller that has a lot of magic and so...I dunno.
