I've never heard of this. Is it really that easy? I've only known one person on my friends list that had his account stolen but that's because he was duped into giving out personal information.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just change your password to something hard to guess. That would be something like a 10 or 12 characters. Some of the letters should be upper case and some should be lower case. Also have some numbers in there. Something like ae4sdT5wl3o2 or whatever. Basically, just a random bunch of characters. If possible use something like !@#$%^&* but I can't remember if you are allowed to use those on XBL. Make sure you right down the password.

If someone promises you free MS points, don't do it. That is an easy way for your account to get jacked.

I think It would be hard to steal an account unless you give him your information. If it does keep happening even after getting his account banned, I believe they can block his console from live and that would prevent him from getting online.

Yeah change your password to something hard.
Microsofts servers for xbox live are very hard for anyone to hack into also you meet people like this on alot of games...even digitalph33r did a spoof in one of his videos "Its a wonderful live" episode 3.
Don't worry i have met alot of people like this as well.

If someone threatens you to hack your account they most likely are full of bs. Otherwise they would of just done it.

Haha really? That's certainly something...
Either way I wouldn't worry too much about it. Everything about your account is tied to MS's servers. Unless they wanna fight Microsoft, then well....
But if the guy is serious or something. What he can do is that he can trace your IP from his PC because of the nature of Xbox Live. With that, he can hack into your PC and do bad things. However both scenarios suggests you (TC) are an idiot and would allow such things. Like keep open File-Sharing, not requiring a password. No firewall, broken Router; that sort of stuff.
If you want a interpretation; hacking is just a glorified term derived from "remote access". If we all met up on Xbox Live for a game, I could have every one of your IPs in less than 3 minutes after the game's started, but that doesn't mean I can do anything if everyone's followed protocol and basic Internet Safety 101. You get my meaning of "idiot" now?

The only way that anyone can hack your account is if you give them a password.
That isn't even hacking though, that is just phishing.

You will be alright, XBL has military grade security on there Live network. He just wanted to scare you. The only way he could do something is if he had your information.

Tell him that you're sorry and you apologize for whatever you did... then tell him that its not his fault that his parents beat and neglected him.

There is a "chocolate milk mooooooooom" joke to be made when he mentioned "expiry date", but alas, that is left to another day.
"and I mean If he doesn't like you after he sees this, then you're just gonna have to go back home and put some more make up on."

He can't access your account or do anything to mess with it unless he has your Live ID, which I doubt he has. If it was me, I'd tell him to go suck off his Dad, but hey, I can be immature like that sometimes.
